kobes old. game over. enter era of lebron/dwade. go sit in the reclining chair kobe cuz ur career is declining :( down 0-3 to dallas and kobe only took 16 shots in game 3? damnnnnnnnnnn
jdm7131, usually I attempt to try to remember what exactly it was like just before I can easily dunk the ball. Immediately after I made use of the training course program at "50inch vertical [dot] com" - my game has been improving alot - you have to take a look at it!
1997 NBA Playoffs: Lakers at Jazz, Gm 5 -part 14/14 auleddpkabaarcgxwe rxbtotwxqpgoa #jdm7131
hey, ridiculous highlights. jdm7131 I specifically like the beginning =P Can you believe that I trained hard enough to begin dunking! I just used the a real workout training over at 50 inch vertical (dot) com and made it in only 6 weeks
I think after its all said and done, LeBron would likely be considered as the best ever. It would difficult to put him ahead of MJ but it is highly likely he will surpass Kobe. Lebron defenitly had a better early career then Kobe.
@htspassion18 yep thats true. Cause when Kobe got drafted he went to a team that had a lot of skilled veteran players. LeBron went to a team full of scrubs so he had more time to develop as a rookie and a sophomore.
Yeah he grew up. I remember this series and how the Lakers couldn't get past Utah and the year after this the Jazz swept them in the WCF. No one would've ever thought 12 years later Kobe would be a 4X NBA Champion and the 2008 NBA MVP.
lol i love the losers here bashing kobe. but truth is, this made kobe who he is today. the BEST. fuck lebron cuz he can't do it in the clutch now. and you guys swtich places with kobe i bet you pussies wont even make eye contact with the coach when he asked "who wants this shot"......cuz thats waht happened, that benh full of vets and none of them wanted to take the shot except KOBE!
kobe u just choked on national television and we will never beat malone and stockton in a playoffs series, (u made us look like fools and now we cant win the title, next year they gon wipe their asses wit us and we wont win a title til 99-00 when we face a weak eastern conference team, your ball hogging costed us the game, thank u kobe) which of course, they never did, lol. Still, I love Shaq,my favorite player all time love ya shaq, call me some time, lmao
so what did kobe do about this? well, the next year in 98 the jazz swept the lakers, and kobe avg 10 ppg against them. hah, he never got them back for this, they were too good, the lakers couldnt hang with the 96-99 jazz, not a chance. 98 had they beat the jazz kobe would have his shot against michael in the finals, i bet he's glad the jazz swept them cause michael would have embarrassed kobe badly
Kobe Bryant...I'm pretty sure looking at that game tape and I know Eddie Jones told you he was wide open I think that was either Stockton or Hornacek who ran right at you he was open in the corner...
it didnt hit a nerve, and i said that because your a dumb for saying that the kid was only 18 lets see how good you would do at 18 against the 98 jazz in the playoffs game five
At least in my rookie years I'd have passed such a critic ball that could end my season to an open player, which kobe didn't 3:55-4:00 and most importantly @ 4:35-4:38(look @ the open player in the cormer puttin his hands up, indicating he was OPEN. Their coach probably called that play, but kobe did NOT make the final pass). He may be a great player now, but he choked and placed himself in this position, going against the coach's play and being selfish.....
If you read deeper into the situation, Shaq himself said that nobody on the team was willing to take those shots, Kobe stepped up and said he would do it. Your damn right he's a great player now, possibly the greatest ever next to MJ. THis game only fueled him to become a great player
i knew after this game that kobe was going to be special..18-19yrs old playin in the playoffs, taking big shots..yea he shot airballs but he showed alot of heart and he wasnt scared....
That was a terrible shot by Kobe and Eddie was open. He was cold out there, I agree that someone else should have taken that shot. But Kobe got better since then and the Lakers won their championships so things work out eventually.
I remember watching this and was so heartbroken and felt so bad for Kobe (Damn Jazz fans threw some trash at the Lakers bench back then too) but funny how Kobe now dominates the Jazz BY HIMSELF and calls them Mother Fuckers on national television. Beautiful. JAZZ = WHERE NO CHAMPIONS HAPPEN
See what kobe edid to the jazz just a couple games ago.....
Kobe is so much greater than just this one game....honestly this very same thing (the airballs..but in general the BALLS to shoot it...) that makes 24 an incredible player witha killer instict...
It's great to see the groing pains a great player goes through. Especially with all the great things Kobe does today. It really allows you to appreciate how far he's come and he was already pretty amazing back then. You can't tell by this video but Kobe volunteered to take those shots. He wanted the opportunity but was probably still a bit nervous.
Kobe's worst cluth time performance. But I believe it took this game to make him the great player that he is today. Plus, the guy was a freaking teenager at the time!
