  • lol thumbs up if the music at the end was freaking you out

  • @TheAmazingDan4211

Haha, when I edited this I just wanted the music to set the right atmosphere!

    :-D

Thank you so much for stopping by!

    ^_^

  • first, awesome video i made it. 2nd where did u get that awesome paper!!!!

  • @TheCubbyben

    Thank you so much! :-D

About the paper... well, I did personally draw it with my favourite photo-retouch software!

    ^_^

  • Omfg it's living and so magical best toy thank you for putting it up :-)

  • @Huybui32

Thanks to you in return, for so joyfully letting me know your appreciation!

    ^_^

  • I got it the first time. Just some patience is needed.... as always, a very clear and easy to follow video! Thanks!

  • @schumanncello

Definitely, with origami patience is the first thing needed!

Thanks to you, for your very kind and wise words!

    :-)

  • i hate you it does not work

  • @terifoxx

Apart from the fact that using such a heavy verb like "hate" for a piece of paper is way excessive; you're there watching the video and using your brain and fingers; plus, in the video I've slowly shown each single step and I've written the advice needed if it doesn't immediately work.

Hence, don't waste your time senselessly hating anyone (it won't magically make it work!) and try instead to concentrate on carefully watching and reading everything!

And try again, until it works.

  • @danbergam hey the paper rips from the back when you put it together in the step 11 help?

  • @985steven

Hmm, I think it may happen if you use a kind of paper which is a little too thick... a thinner one could prevent ripping from happening, I think!

    Hope this helps!

    ^_^

  • all you do is blow

  • @arch30

    ??

  • it does not work i made ti tow times

  • @terifoxx

As you can see from my video too, it takes more tries and to unfold and refold the last steps...

  • noooooooooooo!

my powers don't work!!!(maybe cuz i used origami paper)

  • @wrestlingfan1530

Haha, no, don't worry, your super powers are still there!

Follow the advice I give in the video itself and try to undo and redo the last few steps... it may take a few tries!

    ^_^

  • what paper did you use?

  • @MrEllinas21

Regular copy/printer paper; but I designed the pattern with my favourite photo-retouch software and I printed/cutted the square by myself!

    ^_^

    Thank you for asking!

  • @Neakiaro

It may take many tries, as my video demonstrates: because the different layers need to be folded but not to firmly, in order to preserve their tendence to slowly unfold!

  • lol mine ripped...

  • @rabbitman15:

Thinks that happen: after all, paper's quite delicate!

    ^_^

  • yty

  • i havent made it yet but i want too... i have a question though: how do u make it stand up?

  • @rabbitman15:

It's all in the layers of folds, and in the way they tend to unfold, because of paper properties!

    ^_^

  • That's awesome!

I'm learning so much while watching your videos, but when I made the "Living Origami" it was like a "Dead Origami" ^^

Sorry for my bad English I'm from Germany and into the bargain in Middle School :P

  • Ah, to learn is always good!

    "Dead"?! Oh my!

It may take to unfold/refold it a few times the last steps in order to make it work.

And... don't mind about your English, I think it isn't bad, at all!

And it isn't my first language too, so I'm the last who can judge!

    ^_^

  • Where did you bought this cool Origami Paper?

  • I designed and printed it by myself, with a photoretouch software and some plugins!

    ^_^

  • I agree, it's cool!

    You're welcome!

  • Mine works two great video ^.^

  • Thank you very much!

  • amazing it actually works anything i make never works but something actually works thankyou.

  • Definitely, you can be proud of yourself... because you did it with your own will, patience and hands... and it worked!

    :-D

  • mine didnt work...it wont stand up

  • If I'm not wrong, in the video I've written how to solve it; to unfold it back to the step#... and refold it again.

    It may take some tries.

  • mine won't stand up either, for some reason the paper just slightly bends down and dosn't do anything. the bottom justs opens up and it goes kind of flat.

  • It took me a lot of tries setting-up in order to make it work... also, I guess that the type of paper used has its part in the whole thing...

  • I'm definely doing this to entertain the kids in my neighbour! Thanks a bunch! :o

  • That's a nice thing!

    Thanks to you!

    ^_^

  • thank you so much its fun

    ^_^

  • CRAP WAT DA HEL IS DAT SHIT

  • Hey you!

Do to yourself and to all of us a favour, and try to use a polite language!

  • if you're going to be rude, at least spell everything correctly. it's "what," not "wat," "the," not "da," "hell," not "hel," "that," not "dat", and for your information, it's paper, not shit.

  • th34terISmYlif3, now, this is what a call a great and very proper reply.

    Thank you so much!

    :-)

  • ending part is so funny xD

  • It is, indeed!

  • i dont think tis that magical really its actually very simple ( the laws of phisix really show off here ) but still thx for another great origami video :P

  • Haha, you're right this is not *really* magic... it's more like illusionism!

But, oh well, it's a great illusion!

  • why not available anymore?or it is something wrong here wiz my account ..?

  • While watching it while replying... hmmm... if I was in you I would try to clean the cache of the browser... or, I'd try again later.

  • you havent made new oraigamis in a while...

  • Maybe you haven't seen my two last special episodes "in the cave"...

Anyway, let's not forget that origami is just one of many passions... I mean, Life has so many good sides... there are so many things to know, to love...

    ^_^

  • extremely easy and fun to watch. ^.^

  • Haha, yeah, I like, sometimes, to add a bit of fun! ^_^

  • july 12th:high is 18 degrees, low is 12...:( i think we might have an ice age instead of global warming

  • Now, if we look back to the most recent prehistory, we see that there are long (some thousands years) cycles of hot ages and ice ages... I sometimes wonder, just as you wrote now, if we have touched the highest temperatures for to find ourselves being climbing down a line leading us to another ice age...

    ^_^

  • very extremely easy and fun

  • You couldn't tell it better than this! ^_^

  • you are really funny i love your videos... the first time i put the paper on the table it stood up super slowly and cool, after that i couldnt make it stand up or it made it very fast, ill keep trying :)thanks

  • Aww, thank you so much!

Haha, I like to live this Life with a bit of humour! ^_^

Definitely, this figure is such a particular thing: it may happen that it stands up slowly, how is supposed to be, just once in a thousand times!

It takes an extra amount of patience, really, for to try and try again...

Thanks to you, for your kindness! :-D

  • wow! where do you get the pretty paper?

  • Good question!

I took my favorite graphic editing software... and with the help of some great graphic plug-ins for to generate and elaborate random patterns... I printed and cut it all by myself! ^_^

  • can u make the same piece stand up many times or would i have to fold more of these?

  • After it stands up, you simply need to press on its sides for to make it be like it was before the standing... and it should be ready to stand up once again!

  • i shall conquer the world woth these paper models :)) juck joking :P aniway they are verry interesting if you find a new model please upload i want to make my colection as big as i can :P :D thanx again dan :D

  • Haha! That's funny! xD

(And-Yeah...ITs amazing. The hardest things looks.Urm.Pretty nice but simplest looks...WOW! WHat the hell how did he do it? :D)

  • Are you a magician?!?!?!

    Ah, that's great!

It doesn't matter if we are in 2008, illusionism (and the talent of the performer, by the way!) always has this capability to impress me like a child... and me I'm there, watching, wondering - How can he/she do it?! Were does the trick is?!? -

    xD

    It's very, very true.

Sometimes the simplest things are the best ones!

    Thank you for stopping by!

  • :DDD YOU BRAINLESS PIECE OF PAPER!

ILL THROW YOU INTO FIRE! (wzoom) :D

    ^_^;;;;;;;

    Thank you for stopping by!

  • I was so shocked in not seeing my reply that I forgot... to actually reply to your question!

The secret is just in the multiple foldings... and in the tendency of the paper to unfold! :-)
