@elcomsgikz Blender 2.49 is somewhat unstable. Go watch the updated version of this tutorial that uses Blender 2.5, which is easier to use, and stable. it's called: Pencil Tutorial Update: Exporting Animations-PC(Windows XP, Vista,7)
@commercialize You can actually make camera movements with just one camera layer. all you have to do is start at frame one add a keyframe then move to say frame 10(for example) and move the canvas(which is the same as moving the camera) using the move/zoom tool and it will add a new keyframe for you.
@Pedr6500 alright thanks for the advice, assembling the images did work, still a hassle though :p but hey it's all free so I shouldn't complain. Cheers mate!
thankyou so much, this is by far the most effective, and easy way to get pencil animations into video format that works and looks good. thankyou! i can finally start my first series! yayyyyyy
@TehMrMatt sorry for not responding so soon, did you put sound in your animation using pencil? if so, then it won't stay with the pictures when you export them for Blender, you'll have to use a different software to add sound, after you export the animation from Blender.
@r0flc0pt3r117 You'll have to add the sound after you have exported your animation. When you export your frames as pictures it does not retain the sound you have added in Pencil.
@r0flc0pt3r117 This is a problem that many have when using Pencil on PC. What I'd do is Google your problem and what you're doing to get the black pictures. Sorry I couldn't help, I'm using a Mac and can't replicate your problem.
the pictures themselves are black when i export the image sequence and I already had a camera layer. Do you know how to fix the pictures so i can actually see them?
@YoungAnimations What picture file format are you using? Try the other format option for exporting the frames. Regarding quicktime, you can use a different player like Windows Media Player or VLC player to view your animation.
That's strange, do you have quicktime installed on your PC? If not you can choose FFMpeg from the same list and then click on the video tab right above where you selected the format. In the video tab, there should be a box with arrows on it thats says MPEG-2, click on it and select the quicktime or AVI option. then you can continue on with the tutorial. Let me know if it woks.
Nice.

What if you used different camera layers in Pencil to have the camera moving around, would this still work as a way of exporting your animation?

@Bringittome22 in the drop down menu where I select Quicktime ( at 2:00 ) select AVI RAW instead. Let me know if that works.
