  • Nice.

  • @jercsverige Thanks!

  • wait a minute yesterday their was like 115 veiws what happened

  • It says couldnt get mapping:/

  • Hmm... It didnt work... after I put my images, nothing came from the video.

    Help???

  • @elcomsgikz Blender 2.49 is somewhat unstable. Go watch the updated version of this tutorial that uses Blender 2.5, which is easier to use, and stable. it's called: Pencil Tutorial Update: Exporting Animations-PC(Windows XP, Vista,7)

  • Thank you sooo much! I was wondering how to do that...

  • @lifeofawarrior No Problem, glad I could help!

  • What if you used different camera layers in Pencil to have the camera moving around, would this still work as a way of exporting your animation?

  • @commercialize You can actually make camera movements with just one camera layer. all you have to do is start at frame one add a keyframe then move to say frame 10(for example) and move the canvas(which is the same as moving the camera) using the move/zoom tool and it will add a new keyframe for you.

  • better way save it as a swf. then convert it in mpeg sream clip its free

  • @Pedr6500 I was thinking the same thing.

  • @Pedr6500 tried that, file open error: unsupported file type, if I then click on 'open anyway' it says it can't find video or audiotracks, I'm on pc

  • @CaptainVane try swf2avi

and if that dont work export in ong and assemble these your images with monkeyjam

    just tryin to help ya

  • @Pedr6500 alright thanks for the advice, assembling the images did work, still a hassle though :p but hey it's all free so I shouldn't complain. Cheers mate!

  • awesome thx!

  • dont fuckin work tried 3 fuckin times i jst want a good video so i can make my fuckin animations not mad at or anything it just wasnt for me

  • @hotshotmanny1 What were you having trouble with?

  • ....how do you save a file in pencil, as an avi? as no other files will load in movie maker!

  • @Bringittome22 in the drop down menu where I select Quicktime ( at 2:00 ) select AVI RAW instead. Let me know if that works.

  • thankyou so much, this is by far the most effective, and easy way to get pencil animations into video format that works and looks good. thankyou! i can finally start my first series! yayyyyyy

  • done my animation, included sound, but when i export and play it, there's no sound :s

    any ideas?

  • @TehMrMatt sorry for not responding so soon, did you put sound in your animation using pencil? if so, then it won't stay with the pictures when you export them for Blender, you'll have to use a different software to add sound, after you export the animation from Blender.

  • Oh i get it, im using a PC that's why. You use mac which is more flexible with pencil.

  • @YoungAnimations Are you running XP, Vista or Windows 7?

  • @dwarfmenproductions im using XP

  • @YoungAnimations I'd google the problem your having and see if you can find an answer on a forum. sorry I can't help you.

  • @dwarfmenproductions i have the same problem but i am using windows 7

  • @r0flc0pt3r117 You'll have to add the sound after you have exported your animation. When you export your frames as pictures it does not retain the sound you have added in Pencil.

  • @dwarfmenproductions thanks and i am using windows 7 and my pics cum up blank

  • @r0flc0pt3r117 What format are you choosing to export your pictures? Try the other one and see if that helps.

  • @dwarfmenproductions i used avi raw

  • @r0flc0pt3r117 Sorry, I mean the pictures in Pencil. Or is your movie coming up blank when you render it in Blender?

  • @dwarfmenproductions it cumes uo blank when i render and i draw in vector

  • @r0flc0pt3r117 try choosing JPEG if you chose PNG, or PNG if you chose JPEG.

  • @dwarfmenproductions dam still blank

  • @r0flc0pt3r117 This is a problem that many have when using Pencil on PC. What I'd do is Google your problem and what you're doing to get the black pictures. Sorry I couldn't help, I'm using a Mac and can't replicate your problem.

  • @r0flc0pt3r117 me too! And it's driving me insane cos I like this way better than flipbook!

  • the pictures themselves are black when i export the image sequence and I already had a camera layer. Do you know how to fix the pictures so i can actually see them?

  • Do you mind doing another tutorial because the new python 2.7 might be the problem? can you try doing it with this?

  • I do everything in the tutorial but my images come up black why? can you help? By the way im using PNG because when i use JPEG it doesn't work

  • @YoungAnimations try adding a camera layer.

  • what do you do if you dont have quicktime? it's an option but i don't have it, also when i do image sequence it comes up as all black images

  • @YoungAnimations What picture file format are you using? Try the other format option for exporting the frames. Regarding quicktime, you can use a different player like Windows Media Player or VLC player to view your animation.

  • what do you do if you dont have quicktime? it's an option but i don't have it

  • what do you do if you dont have quicktime?

  • That's strange, do you have quicktime installed on your PC? If not you can choose FFMpeg from the same list and then click on the video tab right above where you selected the format. In the video tab, there should be a box with arrows on it thats says MPEG-2, click on it and select the quicktime or AVI option. then you can continue on with the tutorial. Let me know if it woks.

  • i got up to the bit to where you had to choose what format the images where saved as, but mine doesnt give quicktime as a choice. ???
