Very well done, it's funny how different the style is to ours. Ours is also alot harder and faster and unfortunatley that leads to many mistakes lol. But hey, I'm not hatin on Karate, this was very well done. A good job.
Very interesting. I practice Shotokan Karate & 2 katas in our syllabus are similar to these. I practice ITF & WTF Tae Kwon Do & there are similarities there also. All the best for the future.
Ratehs is correct in the assessment of the elements of this style. This style is in fact Tai Chuan Do. It was developed here in American after the Grand Master had studied and mastered several style and decided to found his own style. Because of this, Tai Chuan Do has very strong similarities to lots of different styles.
I'll have to get my daughter to fully answer that question -- I just know that the style is called Tai Chuan Do. She could explain the difference -- I know I can't!!
What style of karate is it? I've never seen those two katas performed in that way before (thats not negative, there are many different versions of the same kata)
The forms she is doing are in both karate and takewondo. Taekwondo took them from the karate sylabus. I assumed it was a japanese version (and thus a style of karate) and not a korean because the kicks were not done as kicks, the horse stances were okinowan (feet at 45 degree angles), and the deep okinowan style cat stances (longer than korean).

I love how everyone takes shotokan katas , modifies them slightly, then tries to pass them off as their own *rolls eyes*
