  • ca you play you tube videos on this phone

  • hai realizzato un video ipnotico... fai tutto con una calma e una tranquillita' tali che spesso mi viene sonno a guardarlo. complimenti!

  • Hey i need some help about Nokia E52.I cant go to youtube i mean i can clik on youtube but..........when i select some video is just black picture :( I need helppp pls help me ! :) TNX

  • e71 better then e52

  • Nice review!!!

You really take care of your phones and of course i like the music :)

    Haha, i like it!

  • Is gps navigation free????

  • @jimmyenze Yes, if you install Garmin.

  • @freemusicblogg garmin? no

  • @jimmyenze Yes, you can install Garmin, cause this is symbian cell phone. And that you will have free navigation, almost worldwide, depending which maps you put in phone. :)

  • @freemusicblogg okay thanks ;)

  • i was distracted wid d nails..hehehe..jaz kidding.. i really want to have dis phone does it really have a nice features?

  • @baded28 it's an old but nevertheless decent smartphone, as long as you can live with the smallish, low resolution screen... The battery life is awesome, and the phone has all the essential features like wi-fi or gps support :)

  • @baded28 yeap..hav it.. u can install good free stuff from ovi store n works great. iv had it for 3months now..works perfect no issue wat so ever.

  • you pickup all things so gently :))

  • @mozillarecords I take care of my phones, lol xD

  • does the compass actually move when u move ?? is there actually a compass?

i need to face a certain direction when i pray

  • @haqzuk you probably need a phone with digital compass that automatically rotates the map depending where you're looking at... Looked at the official specs sheet of Nokia E52 and it does seem to support that function, although I've never noticed that myself.

  • @Nexudus It does have a digital compass that rotates the map. You have to press 5 and calibrate the compass before using it. Calibration is done by moving the phone in x, y and z motion just like writing an "infinity" symbol on air (See Manual for instructions). I've been using the map for half a year now with the digital compass.

  • Hey every1.... I want to know which phone is better...?? E52 or 5630 Xpress Music...??? I am very much confused between these 2 phones.....

  • I had this phone for 6 months. Good things: Fast, VERY good battery life. Bad things: Its not well built and fragile, buttons go bad, software has many bugs and often locks up. I cannot recommend this phone.

  • @MissMan666 Hmm, I'm really surprised you said it's fragile, Eseries phones are actually known to be the best built Nokia phones around... And about the software problems, did you update the firmware of the phone?

  • @Nexudus i agree, E series is usually very well built phones, but i would say pass on this one! The space between backcover and phone increased, the buttons went from having a nice feel, to bad and noisy. Yes i did update the phone one time, it did not help any of the software problems i had (it locked up, restarted and other weird things). I really loved the speed and battery time, i could last about a week on a full charge, but there was to many bugs and problems with it.

Pie taustinjiem aatri pierod, programmaturra nosliipeta, vienigi ekrana izskirstpeeja vareeja buut ausgtaaka!

  • Im torn between nokia 5800 and e52.. what shud i bUy???

  • @ebencipe It really depends on whether you want a touchscreen or a more traditional smartphone with physical keys, but smaller low resolution screen... If media functionality is what you use the most, Nokia 5800 is an affordable all-in-one solution perfect for that. If making a lot of calls and emails, ergonomics and speed are your top concerns, then you should take a closer look at E52/E55 ;)

  • @ebencipe

E52 ;) I bought it today and this rocks :)

Forget the touchscreen at least for another few years, till they make something with such sensitivity as apple has...

Really if you don't want to suffer, go with the old school keyboard :)

  • @petzrule1 It means I was given the phone for a short period of time just to write a review, so I don't have this particular model on my hands now...

  • It is a powerfull phone

  • hi. so does this work with corporate emailing as well? i understand you get push email via Nokia Messaging, but will that work with all and any e-mail?

  • really nice phone you got there mate! :) i want to drop you a question: how is the battery? does the phone really stays in standby that much time? gonna buy one for myself next year ( in january that is :D ) cheers!

  • Sorry, but it was only a review phone! The battery is in fact amazing, even actively using the phone I could get good 3 days, unless you use GPS or video recording.

  • Well, I bought myself one, I have it for one week now. I used it in an average way, listened to some music, watched some videos and took a lot of pictures. Of course had some Phone calls too. And I have to charge it two times a week. Maybe this helps.

  • Thanks for sharing with us! Hope you are enjoying your purchase!

  • how is the camera? does it take good pictures since it doesnt have autofocus?

  • Well it's 'enhanced fixed focus' so it's better than other fixed phone cameras. I actually made some very good pictures with it, in natural lighting that is. But you can forget about video recording, it's really not worth bothering with it...

  • well thank god for that, was a bit unsure on how to flick those manual pages. also great tip on testing the strenght of the back of the phone by giving it a little flick, kinda like kicking the wheels of a car...

  • But I like kicking the wheels of the car, makes me feel like a rebel!

And don't learn how to flick pages from me, I'm obviously doing that in the wrong direction, lol!

  • hows the reception on the phone? and is it glitchy at all? i've heard rumours that it was and thats the reason why alot of networks decided to drop it.

  • Not heard a damn thing about that issue, call reception and quality was superb as always for me. I actually heard something like that about the E72 due to antenna awkward placement, but that's all just rumors...

  • have e51 for two good years never find a fault with it , everthing was fine , no problem at all for reception. NEVER buy an N series again got reaally bad experince.

  • what is the use of the cable in 1:36? What is it for?

  • It's an adapter so you can charge the phone with the older model chargers, because the phone has only a micro-usb port. Nokia has been including those for quite some time now, not sure how long that will stay like this though...

  • Thanks.

  • Thanks.

  • is the music is as loud as n81

  • It has some kind of dedicated music chip inside, so the sound quality through headphones should be better, not sure about the loudspeakers though...

  • i bought it and it's fab ! especially aftr my SO slow and SO plug depndent N80.. but i noticed it isn't very easy to find sat signal on the E52 gps.. i think it'all nokia phones (maybe all gps phones in general) but it does take a while!

  • Check in the settings of Nokia Maps if it's using internet connection to speed up positioning. It's called A-GPS, and you'll charged for a few kb data transfer using GPRS, but the satellite lock on times will be decreased significantly! Also it really depends on where you are, indoors or outside...

  • EXCELLENT video man ! i really wanted to see exactly what was on the box cause i just bought an E52 and there is something fishy about it...

p.s. it's obvious that you've used the phone before the unboxing video... :P

  • Yeah, sadly I wasn't the first one to lay hands on this review unit, sometimes I'm lucky and sometimes not...

Glad you liked my video, Nokia E52 is currently the best classic smartphone out there, excellent ergonomics and well balanced out features and battery life!

  • I agree. The Nokia E-series are probably one of the best designed Nokia phones around...

  • Nice! Hopefully it's gonna my next phone (after E51)

    What music it was?

  • It's N.Y.C. by Guardner. I like easy going type of chill-out songs in my unboxing videos, sets the mood right...for buying stuff, lol!
