this video was captured on a GTX8800 (2007); I play in 1920x1080p and FRAPS costs about 1/2 FPS... so a card as powerful as a 8800GT or Radeon 4850 (or better) should be able to handle NV.

Tip: choose the native resolution of the screen and lower details for water, shadow etc. and go for AA 4 (or so).

But if your Laptop has onboard-vga it may suck, not sure how the intel CPU-VGA-core works but I think it is too weak.

Actually, according to one of the people that worked on the game, the upgrade makes it so that Yes Man takes orders from no one BUT you. It's on the Fallout wiki.

The first time I played this I was for the NCR, and I worked with Yes Man to make an army of securitrons to supports the troopers and rangers. Come the end battle the dialog options fucking forced me to turn against the NCR.

I really dislike Oliver's VA. There's just so little emotion in his speech at all. I was expecting something a bit more stereotypical drill sergeant, like R. Lee Ermy. It's just so fucking lackluster. You just beat the fuck out of the Legion, and he isn't excited at all. You might as well have just been discussing brands of tea.

Personally, the only voices that I really noticed and stopped to really listen to were The King, Marcus, and Caeser. They were pretty good.

I am no professional voice actor by any means, nor have I ever had a job doing so, but I do believe I could do a better job at voice acting than half the voice actors in the Fallout franchise. In Fallout 3, I was impressed with the VA of "Three Dog" when he broadcasted on the radio...but when you meet him in person at the GNR station, the voice acting was lacking.

@ViralVideoCriticBeta VA in Fallout is a unique situation, in that the actor can't coordinate a conversation with a specific person. Also the format calls for hard starts and stops for the player options. And one speaker cannot interrupt another, for example.

So, timing's gonna be "funny" for argumentative situations. Some VAs caught on quicker than others.
