@123doomdoom I only reacted this way because of the original comment. Man, some people!And man I hate the term "gamer." Yeah, I don't play every game there is to get a hold of...I pick and choose a few that I really like.

I play games for the escapism, the art and yes the music (Silent Hill and Ico one of my favs). This game obviously was phenomenal for its time and the soundtrack actually just made the game THAT much more fun to play because it made you wanna kick ass.

Also, I'm a sony fan. :)

Streets of Rage 2 is not only my favourite in the series but one of the most perfect games I've ever played. My favourite character was Axel because he was easy to get the grips with and I love the grand upper move.

I will admit Blaze is drop dead gorgeous in the game play and cut scenes. i'm not so keen on how she looks on the game covers she kind of looks too much like a tranny.

@TranceCore3 He also probably doesn't know to land on his feet after being thrown. That along with the extra lives really help out ALOT. Also axel's Rata Paw (or whatever the fuck he's saying) requires no energy and he can also freeze enemies in place by jabbing. Also punching from behind helps :D

Oh, but I really wanted to say was that this game makes me think of my mom. When I was 8 thru 10, she would always ask me "Gary, you want to play Streets of Rage with me?" and I'd be like "YEAH!" and we would both play the shit out of this game.

I owned a Snes at the time and I loved it but this game was one you really did have to play.

It really kicked the shit out of the Final Fight series which coincidently Streets of Rage 1 was released in reply to the Snes Final Fight conversion at the time and ended up being better with 2 player mode.

Really pissed me off Final Fight didn't have it at the time =P.
