I had a love/hate relationship with Alamo for the many years that I lived there. Albuquerque had just gotten to be too much, LC & SF tying for second. The simplistic beauty of the Alamo area, the panoramic vistas, heck, even the serious thunderstorms were wonderful! But between the "shifty fifty" and that book burning church on the hill, the town is only good for religious retirees. :(
First off, you chose the worst place in town. Ever even stop to notice how beautiful the sunsets are over the dunes??? Ever notice how bright the stars are around here at night? How about all the wonderful people here in Alamogordo who would give you the shirt off their back if it was needed??? I say take a closer look at what's around you and appreciate the positive....if you have such a problem is the lack of variety in restaurants here...learn how to make your own damn food!!!

it isnt that bad if your educated and an adult. i lived in san diego for many years and you cant even walk/drive into certain areas without being shot at, robbed, chased by gangs etc. then again i was a cop there and i didnt have a problem but alamo is fairly good. just sucks at jobs and a corrupt city gov.
Anybody who thinks Alamogordo is hell should try living in east Dallas these days. I've lived in both and would much rather live in Alamo. I see the city govt. hasn't changed a bit. At least Frank Carr got run out of town years ago.. That was a good start. :)

Anybody who thinks Alamogordo is hell should try living in east Dallas these days. I've lived in both and would much rather live in Alamo. I see the city govt. hasn't changed a bit. At least Frank Carr got run out of town years ago.. That was a good start. :)
