[Transformation] 1/5000 SDF-1 Macross (HD 720p)

What an odd, kinda complicated transformation for the SDF-1. The 1/3000 one actually has a simpler, more anime-accurate transformation.

The ARMDs "get in the way"? C'mon half the fun is not breaking away the arms and making it transform like in the show.

I have the 1:2500(?) plastic , in color, play model from the 80s which doesn't break when it transforms. It got "mis stored" by my mom somewhere, and by the time I retrieved it, the freaking carriers were gone from the box. They were detachable, had small wheels, copuld get rolled on the floor, probably got stolen like MatchBox toy cars by whichever kid came upon the set :(

This thing is surprisingly small for how much it costs. I know it's a huge flying fortress, but its articulation seems very limited as well. It's very detailed though, I guess it's more of a display piece. I'm more into action figures myself so I'm not sure if this is for me.

Thank you for this technical and quality review. Me & my 9yo daughter watched the whole thing and actually made noises a few scary parts of the transformation. I deny making any. We also get a kick out of your fast forwarding, which is funny and keeps our interest because we don't have to sit here forever.

Yeah, I don't like transforming this one! It feels like I'm going to break it each time. Lots of people seem to like the fast forward stuff. I think I'll have to do all my transformation videos that way in the future.
