  • I found that this frequentie is used when ships want enter the port or leav the port

  • normaly oostende radio is broadcasting on HF 2182 kHz

    for saftey message like channel 16 on vhf

  • i do believe it is Oostende radio i seems kind of reard but i think it is information about the channels in Belgium (he says bericht aan de schipperij nr XXX) but they tranceive usually in VHF

  • the language is Flemish, it is spoken in Belgium. they are exchanging numbers talking about the harber in Oostende.

  • ON3TG is correct the language is Flemmish the type of Dutch spoken in the western half on Belgium.

  • I believe its potuguese,with "madeira island"accent!!

  • that's Ostend radio normally tranmitted on VHF channel 27 but it's also transmitting on HF and MF

  • Out of curiosity, what antenna are you using?

  • I'm only using a dipole cut for 20m in the loft at the moment, so not exactly ideal for the lower bands, but it seems to work okay on receive. Thanks for watching the video.

    But the station is 12km nexto my QTH Oostende.

    It's also a QRO High Power Station
