She was an exceptional talent for the artists of the time. I think probably the only reason "Feel It" wasn't a stateside hit was its timing. Parent album "In Love" was released in 1980, when the disco backlash had gained serious momentum. What I love about listening to this song in 2011 is that because it hasn't been overexposed, it is so evocative of that time in music (and in my life). Thank you for posting this classic.

I really miss these days, the music was so, so damn fine. There was such a good feeling of hope in the U.K. driven by the music. I really felt like all the racist crap was behind us, now look at us. @kaferere I know what you mean. I grew up on this music, classic soul, funk, and disco. I was listening to Cheryl Lynn, Chaka Khan, and Donna Summer when everyone else I knew was listening to Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. This music still moves me unlike the pop/rap/R&B drivel that has dominated the airwaves for the past 15 years at least.
