She was an exceptional talent for the artists of the time. I think probably the only reason "Feel It" wasn't a stateside hit was its timing. Parent album "In Love" was released in 1980, when the disco backlash had gained serious momentum. What I love about listening to this song in 2011 is that because it hasn't been overexposed, it is so evocative of that time in music (and in my life). Thank you for posting this classic.
I ordered the Japanese import of this CD late last week. I can't wait until it shows up. It's my favorite Cheryl Lynn album. You can tell she's having a blast.
I really miss these days, the music was so, so damn fine. There was such a good feeling of hope in the U.K. driven by the music. I really felt like all the racist crap was behind us, now look at us. All counting money with britney spears clones and pubescent boy-bands whining out of the radio . Where's my time machine? I want my funky disco back! Brothers Johnson, Heatwave, Earth Wind and Fire, come back! I hate it here!
@kaferere I know what you mean. I grew up on this music, classic soul, funk, and disco. I was listening to Cheryl Lynn, Chaka Khan, and Donna Summer when everyone else I knew was listening to Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. This music still moves me unlike the pop/rap/R&B drivel that has dominated the airwaves for the past 15 years at least.
@kaferere shit bra..You took the wods right out of my mouth even with the bands you mentioned..I'm 16 so you can imagine how tough it is to have never experienced the late 70s..'m stuck in 2011 :/ with it's shite
CriscoDisco79 Leave the kid alone you kid, your born in 79, thats nothing I got 10 years on you, your a kid to me, look how your acting, it's a just a comment, theres a old story, theres a dog wandering around in the rail road tracks, he leaves his tail on the tracks, train comes by and chops it off, without him knowing, he looks around and looks at the tail saying don't sweat the small stuff, you need to slow and not sweat the small stuff.
does anyone remember lushus dame and the pretty vain. they had a beautiful song entitled "the one you love" it wasn't a hit, but it's the best. can anyone tell me were i can find it?
I know that you smelly blood sac. Doesn't have to chart to be a classic. A song doesn't even need to be released as a single to be considered a classic you bloody cotton ball so STFU you old fart!!!!!

You dumb dried up cum stain. It was never even released as a sigle you jackass but yet it is still considered a classic you old fart. You make me laugh with all your comments posting them as if thr're gospel just because YOU said it. you're a fuckin' fool & you have shitty taste in music. Negative old fart that you are. Now STFU you old fart!!!!!!!!
you stupid clueless douchebag who is 1 chromosone shy of an amoeba, a record doesnt have to be released as a single to chart on the disco/dance chart, or to get played on the radio...this was true in 1979 and it still holds true today, your ignorance in music is quite evident, as is your age....
