How did you get that video of underneath the car??? Excellent camera bud... I have an MK3 which I have converted to an ST apart from the engine. Now looking to buy an ST220...
I've owned my ST220 for 4 ands a half years now, the longest I've ever owned any one car, and I still love it. The noise is just so intoxicating, and the engine characteristics really encourage you to take it all the way to the redline.
bought one of these 16 months ago after part exchanging my audi a4 quattro for an 05 plate st 220. thought I had dropped a right clanger but i still own it now and love it to bits. Totally underated car !
My partner has a Ford Cougar 2.5 V6 and we love that car to bits but now I have seen how cheap these sell for I am def buying one for myself!! I would just be smiling everytime I just looked at it!
Hi. I'm seriously considering this as a daily driver. Options are 3.0 TDI Quattro A4 (this would make most sence because it's quattro for the winter and reasonable engine with low running costs), ST220 (I've heard it's a blast to drive) or Accord Type R (I have had Honda ITR and that was like a cat with mustard up its arse, absoloutely develishly delightful). This clip and the noise makes me want to go the ST220 route. Thanks for sharing. Regards.
Could you give more info about the cam used for this clip ? I guess some small camcorders were fixed to the bumpers but do you know whuch cam have been used and what about the sound ? What about the way it is fixed on the bumpers ?
This is a cool video. The way you have the front and rear cameras and the one at the front is low down by the road. You can really hear the engine noise.
The Duratec V6 is a bit of a mismatch really. The bottom end was designed by Porsche - they abandoned it and the top end was designed by Cosworth. Good lump but needs tlc - keep that oil changed ans she'll go on forever!
I've recently come back from a 620 km journey on a wagon st220 (grey exterior, red interior) and that engine is a blast, the sound is incredible and the steering magnificent and the thing is SO stable!
This V6 sound realy awesome + you can realy edit videos very well + you have some good ideas with places where to mount camera + you are good driver = Realy Fantastic video!
Thanks mate, but if you read the description you'd see I had nothing to do with this video. It's someone that a friend of mine knows, but the video and editing skills are all his :)
i really like car - only thing about this car now for me is £260 road tax and rising very fast and 19mpg in town with todays prices

Great cars. Here in the Netherlands the police has a few of these.
They are used as unmarked cars to enforce traffic laws.
