To bad that konami didn't go to the effort just to remake those gems,i believe that they didn't do it because they just want to keep the originality of those games just the way as they are and not ruin the clasic legend! Seriously though tis one seems allot good i would love to try it out even if its only the first stage.

I wish they would remake the castlevania NES Trilogy & give it 128-bit graphics,3D cutscenes(& not the pop out 3D),& voice acting like they did with Dracula x chronicles,& put it in one game & call it castlevania anthology.

honestly dude i been playing castelvania since it came out on the arcade and this would be awesome i tried the the beta it still has a lot of glitches like not controller supported and thats why i think it sucks there is someother dude working on a better version unless Koji Igarashi gets his hand out of his nose we will not see this game remade in which i thinks is the best castelvania of all time including genya arikado symphony nocturne moonlight

@Duba321 You are aware Castlevania came out on the NES first, right? The Arcade release of the first game was a complete watered-down version of the original. And this version, well, it's been updated. This is the oldest release of the game. The newer ones play rather fluidly, you can also jump on and off stairs. The other one, while it looks great gameplay-wise, the graphics used don't blend in well and the new sprites are terrible.

You're right, I just confused the two tunes. Sounds good, but I like the NES version better. Sounds better when it is faster. Same reason why I like a lot of the Super Castlevania IV music, especially the forest tune, but I do like the caves tune too.

if antyone knows how to code using game maker. we will like to have you help to remake this game in game maker and yes jorge is involved and will be laying tile like he did when the game was made in c++. we have a coder but we dont know if he will be commited to dfinishing the whole game. all we need is someone to do the level editor in order to get this game finished and playable to all being that not all people where able to play the c++ version for some reason.

Someone did make a CV II-esq remake called Dracula's Shadow, which featured new & remixed music, more enemies & bosses, and item crashes. Only problem is that the game crashes frequently.

oh yes this version will blow even the famicom version away,despites it had a sound and video expansion chip onboard.

the ps1 version looks so realistic the music & sound effects reminds me of the snes.

even so this game can be even ported to the snes,wich capability's seems lichtyears more powerfull then the nes.

The music is not normally supposed to be this slow. The videocapturing is slowing down the game and the music being played. The videoresponse to this video shows what the music is supposed to sound like, if you have a decent soundcard...
