BIGGEST problem i can see with this is the whole design itself. one a tac vest the molly is much more rigid and there are plates and whatnot that cn add to the rigidity, keeping everything from "drooping" for lack of a better term. if there was a way to make this a more rigid design it would be much better. i noticed may times yoru gloc holster was drooping under weight due to the molle. its a nice try but they should square it away alot more. nice review btw subscriber right here.
Nice review. Might be just the thing for a day at the range with a pistol, or whatever specific firearm you're running that day. It appears that the system could be used on the left or right side of the body, which is cool.
for me, I would just spend 20-30 on a mes. bag. I live near a larger city and if you found yourself in a firefight at the mall, a mes. bag would come in handy. something where you could carry (insert favorite duty weapon here), mags, flashlight, and other spec. gear that you might need. Even as a bug out bag, let's think more jack bauer and not gi joe.
Great vid TLBS, i enjoyed ur "noobs" veiw on it, not everyone has a huge experince in tactical gear or is just starting out, u covered everything realy well and i enjoyed watching, best wishes and take care bro
Great review Scout! A lot of great points. Price is a tough call. If it were just run and gun option, I think the 5.11 LBE vest is also around the same price BUT this Max Rig looks a lot less intimadating, and a lot more versitle for medical, or grab and go like you said. Great points. I enjoyed the vid.
You approach all your review videos with so much integrity. Coming from another tactical noob I appreciated hearing your thoughts on this item. Also, I thought you had some great ideas about using the MCB in conjunction with other systems. i,e, medic rig, pistol rig & so on. Another awesome review from TheLateBoyScout!
This is a good rig for a home invasion response kit like Sootch00 talks about. It can be quickly grabbed and put into service with very little notice!
Another good thing is if you are in a combat theater you can use it if you need to add more magazines to your combat load out without modifying your combat vest!
curious if this rig is made in america or overseas. Often times domestically made products cost a little more, and that might account for the $80 price tag.
Where did you get the Glock holster in this vid? I'm digging this rig, especially since it seems fairly concealable under a big jacket. Also good for those of us who geocache.
@adventurek9 I think it's Voodoo Tactical brand, and I'm not too happy with it. The retention strap design bugs the crap out of me. I'm on the lookout for something better.
I think I was the only tactical expert out there that day;) Of course I'm joking. I am enjoying the learning process though. Great review Scout! I too believe the rig was high quality. I do wish that it had a different strap / retention setup. I would have preferred front carry (easier access to magazines) but it didn't sit right across the neck. I think it would make a good "Minute Man" rig though.
Good honest review Scout. Probably got more out of it than if the "experts" did it. I'd like to find a small system. The full large vests just seem to cumbersome. This looks fairly good.
Nice review. I like how you keep it real by enjoying the learning process and sharing your experiences with and honest and humble approach. i.e. not having to own every piece of gear and/or the latest and greatest to give meaningful and helpful reviews. Thank you.
Out of curiousty, are you the one Crocket20 was referring to in his latest video that blew their new hat apart years ago? Or are you the one that got their new hat shot up by friends?
@ZippyGaloo Thanks for the kinds words. In answer to your Q... no, I was not. Crocket and I met through youtube less than a year ago, and only first hung out this past summer. Feels like I've known him much longer though.
Great review, thanks for posting it. Glad to see a few guys are getting the chance to test it out. I hope it gives you some reference for future purchases / reviews.
I like the idea of a pistol carrier / dump pouch hike around with the pistol easy to access, then hang it on a tree or tent pole back at camp.. if you need it, you'd have your pistol and mags all at once ..
I never thought of that, I kept making it a first aid panel and now I think it would make a good radio panel

Nice review, I think that it would be better if it had shoulder straps and was mounted to the front.
