Just watched it again - excellent. Have you seen the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, if you haven't You Tube 'em they're sooo good. Keep on doing what you do, lovely.
That was cool, now I want to put on some overalls and dance around on a street corner! There were sure some really silly songs that were big hits back in the 80's! You two really added something to this song because I do not think I ever listened to the original all the way through and I just watched this twice!!
This is a super great comment, Mr. P! (Hopefully some video footage of your silly street corner dancing makes it's way on to YouTube!) We do like to put our own little spin on things and we're glad it kept your attention. Thanks so much for watching.
By far the best cover of DMRs I have ever heard. Erika (the young lady on my right, your left?) has the best expressions to the suggestive lyrics. You made me laugh. Singing was excellent by both of you. I got a fever and the only cure is more HUE!
Thank you, Paul! Erika does have some pretty classic expressions in this song, I agree! Erika will release two more of our H.U.E. videos over the next couple Tuesdays, so maybe that will help-- I hope H.U.E. fever is easier to contain than H1N1!
Why thank you--we're floored by your praise! I (Erika, that is) have never been able to pull off suggestive lyrics, so I resort to making goofy faces. Sam is also a pretty hilarious person, but she decided to play the straight man this time.:)
I love this song! It was one of my favourites when I was a kid, and I still smile everytime I hear it. You two are so much fun together. I really enjoyed that a lot!
Looked fun. Don't know what it's like in your part of the world, but that song can often be heard screamed in unison by everyone when it comes on at parties / celebrations round my way, like an anthem.
We had a great time, Tony! I think that song definitely has a different tradition in the UK than it does here in the US, but I know I love it and sing along every time!
FUCKING LOOOOL.

We are big fans of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. They are indeed fabulous!

One of the best "Come on Eileen" Ukulele covers I've seen so far! And, strangely, I've seen quite a few. Fun!

Great job!
Nice playing, wonderful vocals and the kazoo and egg shaker were a winner.

Thanks! We at H.U.E. like to think that Erika is a winner and the egg shaker/kazoo are just icing on the cake!

The chanting is awesome, and the best moment there comes at 2:13. The sudden melodious "Oh, Eileen" really caught me off guard.

Sam is excellent at giving people melodic surprises!

We all know how awesome your vocals and ukulele playing are, but thats some triple A grade Kazoo and Egg Shaker skills you also possess.
Fantastically played and sung ! 5 stars
