Okay, The Strokes last album, FIoE, was the least pop-sounding out of the three. In fact the only Strokes song that comes to mind when associated with "poppy" is Last Nite, and even that is a bit of a stretch.

However, Jules' new single (11th Dimension) can be considered as pop. But that is his solo album, meaning it does not fall under The Strokes and should be considered entirely separate.

I can see that, from both perspectives. Youre sayin Jules is frustrated 'cause he cant find a balance? you're wrong. the strokes latest album was incredible, and the least "poppy" of all of the albums. if you're referring to "11th dimension", which is sounds a little "poppy" during the verses but is still a very complex and deep song, then you're off base. it's not the strokes, it's just julian. AND, you can't generalize all of his new stuff by one song (if you are). i'm sure his new album will be anything but pop-sounding.

In my opinion they are one of the very few "real" bands out there and they deserve alot of respect.
