If it is any consolation...when I was a kid, Navajo Falls was just a small trickling set of falls...as the years passed, it grew into something almost too beautiful! Now it is gone, only to be replaced by another set of falls. I am so thankful, I will get to see this "replenshing" again at one of my most favorite places on earth.
@misskalirae It was so strange to visit the dry Navajo falls. It was like exploring a closed amusement park ride. On the other hand, it was fun to explore the new falls and to see the awe-full results of the flood waters.
Thank you so much for sharing. It is incredibly sad to see the changes, but I wouldn't have believed it unless I "saw" it. The natural order of things requires refresh & replenish occasionally, I suppose. This is still a place of such awe... Thank you for sharing - and saving me hours of walking
@Texungurl64 I went back last summer to see what the changes were and they were significant. The camping area was rocky with very little grass to camp on. The river through the campground has completely changed course and was too shallow to swin in. Hopefully, it will soon go back closer to the way it was though it will never be the same.
Dang...Navajo Falls were my favorite! At the top of them were pools and streams...so so sad.

I hate how the new havasu falls goes off to one side ! It just doesn't look as picturesque and unique as it did before..

I used a Flip video camera. It probably looks good because the setting is so gorgeous.
