One question for the Swedes.  How come they add an 'a' sound at the end of the sentence?

Also, how do you pronounce 'å', 'ä', and 'ö'. I have heard many different ways to pronounce these, and I don't know which one is correct. Please help.

Americans are so full of themselves :D Most only know the English language because it is the most used language in the world and (usually) no matter where you go people will understand you. @prazzio225 I speak German with native fluency and English fluently. The hardest is their tones. For example, in a two syllable word, such as Malmö, they emphasize one and "melodically emphasize" the other one (quote by wiki). (I'm not too good at explaining it via YT comment, so...)

Besides the sj in "sjol" (rock), and "sj" in "sju" (number 7), everything else should be fine. The u is usually like an English u, the y is like a German long "ü". Good luck! And remember, when in doubt, IPA it!

Talar du Engelska or Pratar du Engelska would be "Can you speak English?"
