  • i guess there is nothing i can say that can get even remotely close to how i feel about me quitting smoking , but i can say however it's the best choice i ever made.

    no strings no ppl to push me , no disintoxication centres or ppl to nag me over the limits ..and especially beeing true to myself helped alot , when you guys are all alone and noone is around you just say no ..and don't lite that cigg up ! keep it in your mouth ..play with it , do whatever..just don't light it up ..ever..

  • Ever since i stopped smoking , i can taste like i use to taste things up ti'll 18 years when i started smoking ,i can smell everything around me just like i used to , my body works like it use to and does not tire nowhere near even 10% of what it use to when i was smoking, i am thinking alot more of everything around me , i dont rush into things.. i guess it is a huge difference when i don't waste 1 minute smoking 1 cigarette , and in the same time thinking of smoking

  • what it wants and since im such a damn stubborn person i showed it it does what i want not what it wants.also because i heard from alot of people that once u been smoking for 5 years and over , you don't have any will to quit it.

    i not only quit smoking but i am now rejecting any slight smell of smoke from cigarettes. What did this helped me with u are probably wondering? well

  • Am i the only person in the world who just woke up 1 morning after 7 years of smoking , thinking i got my breath wayyy to stinky and i spit wayyy too much blood on a regular basis and decided to quit just like that?

    all it takes is to stay true to yourself, you can spend all your life hiding from others around you , but what you need to do is even if you are alone , just say no ...

    worked for me ..so hell..i guess is just because of the fact that i heard somewhere that the human body does

  • @thi277: It's difficult to quit any drug, and nicotine is quite addictive. There a variety of ways to quit, from replacement therapy (gum, inhaled nicotine, a transdermal patch), tapering (titration) where you reduce your smoking by say... one cigarette every few days. Your best option would be to find an organization in Portugal which aids in quitting tobacco, they do exist; you live in a fine country after all.

  • @thi277 Hi. Im from Portugal. If thats truth tell me how. I really want to quit. But the desire is so strong that I cant help myself everytime I try. Man I really hate myself for smoking. My friends laf at me everytime I try and dont sucessed. I want to run again through the city park and dont shoke after a mile. Please help me.

  • I wish I would have never started smoking, the addiction is terrible. NEVER EVER START SMOKING PLEASE!!!! Espeically cigarettes!! If you become addicted, its way hard to stop.

  • I think that the receptors up regulation occurs with cessation of tobacco and not with increased use.
