Ohh I rolled out of my chair laughing when I read that part, because in real life, the real saito REALLY DID HAD A WIFE NAMED TOKIO.

@Nonsensei436 Actually the english VA fits Kenshin better imo. The dub voice is a perfect balance of Kenshin's goofiness, his wisdom, his former self, etc... The japanese VA doesnt have much range; not that im able to judge too much in depth since I dont understand Japanese. In any case, just like the majority of anime fans, you are just giving the japanese the benefit of the doubt and acting like they can do no wrong.

@SecretAgent194 Since when do you need to understand a language to get a feel of a character's voice ? Subtitles = understanding if they were properly translated. I rather view something in it's original language to preserve authenticity. I saw all of it in Japanese and I need subtitles for it too, but the things you say never crossed my mind. I guess the time you spend not reading subtitles give you a better viewing of the series in your own way.

@Byakkotai A feel of the voice? Sure. But you can't really critique in depth unless you understand it. You watch things subbed to preserve authenticity? That's fine. I watch anime the best way to enjoy the story and characters. And if (and only if) the dub voices are good fits, and good performances, then viewer's native language is always best. Thats how I see it.

no its not. the dub voice is terrible. the original is SO much better. The original kenshin voice adds a lot more depth to his character. This one sounds like he's going through puberty and on drugs
