Moore never "lied" (look up the definition of "lie"). He occasionally, inadvertently misdirects with his messy, snide, self-aggrandizing, condescending viewpoints, but it's always in the service of reaching a larger understanding of a greater truth.

We could spend vast amounts of time nitpicking his techniques, or we could truly investigate the claims ourselves and see how it matches up to Moore's POV. Most are too cowardly to try, they rely on the corporate sanctioned talking heads.

So the media "went into the tank" because they actually recognized a man with intellect and gravitas when they saw it? For eight years the media was afraid to call Bush and Cheney what they were: war criminals. I still don't think the American media fully "get it." They react with this bogus sense of shock when Sen. Grassley says that AIG and BofA CEO's should commit Hare Kari. Truth is that suicide is too good for them and for all of the architects of the Iraq war.
