hi nice sound 5 stars my man, its cos i have recently added 2 quarter tones to my bouzouki and would like to know where i can find or if its not to much trouble to write a couple of middle eastern scales down for me it would be much appreceated, and do you always tune this bouzouki GDAD? thanx costa....

Im not completely sure but i think GDAD is for the irish bouzouki.

I tune my bouzouki CFAD and im pretty sure most bouzouki players with a tetrachordo play the same. not sure if it changes with quarter tones added.

Hi Jason. Costa is right that sometimes I tune my bouzouki GDAD which is a nice alternative for the quarters tones. The irish Bouzouki is usually GDAD or GDAE. I'm sure the irish bouzouki is sometimes tuned like the greek bouzouki as this makes it more similar to a guitar.

Hi Costa. as I know you personally, I know you have good ears and the easiest way to work out the moria is to listen to the saz, oud and violin players. You will figure out quite easily whats correct. Its a little hard to explain in words over youtube. As for the extra frets, I would not recommend for everyone to do this to there valuable instrument. Hope it works out for you.
