  • 1:44 "for some reason they think these animals are tame"

    maybe because they have earrings.

  • 00:31 "hmm kfc sounds good today"

Lol at the description "the town of... is terrorised by rutting male elk" i mean of course. who are they to walk around our town we built on their natural territory lol

  • @carsonseagren1 no you wouldnt like it if you were an Elk and someone shot you. it'd be the end of YOU. so if u shoot them THEY will have they're end. It will make the god of nature angry and god angry! because god created the world and gods of thing like water, air etc so he will be mad that YOU killed his nature and he will get mad and the NATURE god will be mad because YOU killed some of her pets.

so don't. it might make the end of us... you can never read the future.

  • "OK OK you're the dominant one!"

  • 2:05 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA

  • @x0fiz hahaha fucken best thing ive ever seen, my buddy showed me this about a year and a half ago and i randomly searched it today and found it lol the guy who bails is the only thing i remember from the entire clip hahahaha best shit ever

  • haha I live there during the summer so when there was an elk walking past the KFC I just thought oh my god! ive been there!

  • Elk are just looking to bag a fat juicy american morsel.

  • Stupid people

  • Yes, there are a lot of elk in Estes Park during the rut, which typically is September and/or October depending on the year, but the degree to which they go after humans has been greatly exaggerated. Leave them alone and they will leave you alone, as the bulls are only interested in the females and other bulls who may challenge them. This is media hype yet again.

  • I researched this and thought it was re: city of Bannf ... in Canada ... hmmmmm

  • I think the BBC is over-sensationalizing this. I lived in Colorado, and I never heard talk about elk "terrorizing" the people in Estes Park, a small town in the mountains. The people who live there are used to having wildlife all around them. The vast majority respect wildlife and give them enough room. The tourists who come through town on their way to Rocky Mountain National Park, just on the other side of town, are a big part of the area's livelihood. I think the BBC is reaching a bit here.

  • @zenmom42 IDK about that. I was trying to get into my car one morning for school and a bull elk decided to get between us. At least "elk" is a viable excuse to be late for school up here. But really, I I dislike them. Walking your dog, jogging around the lake, getting to and from work, it's not so easy when there's an elk-jam or a pissed off cow in your way.

  • moi qui m'enquiquine tout le temps pour tondre la pelouse ........... j'ai trouvé la solution, manque plus qu'à faire venir Monsieur et Mesdames..........

  • Bugling's been great this year. Also saw some bighorn close up for the first time. Estes residents take it all in stride, my hat is off to them for their patience with and courtesy toward visitors, especially fellow Coloradans. Note to out-of-staters: it's considered polite to pull over on the mountain roads such as U.S. 36 and 34, Colo. 7 to let speedier traffic coming up behind pass you.

  • @sharpanator Nope, that's elk. Deer do look different and don't bellow like that. Deer aren't as stocky as elk.

  • LOL, love it!!!! The Elk are even laughing when the people run. The Elk are having fun reversing roles only they use their antlers not guns. Love wildlife.

  • wouldnt mind keeping one as a pet

  • god how stupid are these tourists? It's a wild elk with giant antlers that weighs 300 pounds, How is that not a safety hazard?

  • @PSXGAMER22

    300 "Kg" (that's 660 lbs)

  • Having been charged by a moose once in Canada while camping...yeah, I'll stay faaaar away from the elk. Yeesh.

  • @Rachet88 moose are bigger than elk

  • where i come from its the bears that come into the city in the summer. they come down from the Great Smokie Mountains and come into lots of little cities in the lower blue ridge mountains

  • @sharpanator Those are North American Elk, aka Wapiti. Latin name: Cervus canadensis

  • The best part was at 2:08..the guy trips and tries to roll under the car hahah

  • i just realized how fucking badass it is that they have giant spikes growing out of their heads.

  • "here we observe professional rednecks, out of their territory"

  • nisi ti naleteo na srbendu on bi tebe omlatio ako ništa drugo sa montiračem

  • six people were attacked by elk

  • In Estes, Colorado Elk hunt you!

  • LOL at all the rednecks running from the elk

  • I dont feel comfortable seeing wild elk roaming around urban populated areas. This is all cuz of over development. Too many people on this planet. Not enough room for all the other species.

  • never mess up with elk...

  • fuckin stupid humans

  • Hehe. They might hit the elks accidentally with their gold balls.

  • Banff is a national park - not a city - elk have the right away not people. I think the people should be controlled better - the town itself should be better controlled or better yet - not there.

  • Human beings in the future will lose the ability to walk. Cops on seg-ways are a disgrace

  • 1:59 - "yeah thats right, better move outta my area"

  • @413hey He also was peeing, the elk

  • @HighInTheSkyyDreamin oh yeah... didn't even see that

  • human ownage by the elks... funny, but some of those people are just stupid

  • At 1:54, is that the guy with a KFC buck who is running away from black people???

  • f**king idiots

  • Oh man, that gets me all jacked up for hunting season!!

  • If I lived there their would be no elks LOL!

  • 4 people got mauled by elk in Estes Park.

  • They look delicious.

  • I was not expecting 0:46 LOL.

  • kinda made me wonder, if the elk are eating the grass on golf course lawns, they are also eating the pesticides and chemicals that humans put on those golf courses to make the grass seem like Monsanto Carpet.

Maybe it would be best if the elk ran all the humans out of town and took back their land

  • Both of them people could have died at 198 to 2:00. DUMB

  • Beautiful creatures. Can't blame them for a bunch of crazy humans moving into their habitat.

  • elks - mexicans

  • This is a mix of footage. I've worked and lived in Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone, and some of the footage is from there. thedavecorp, in Yellowstone the ear tags are to identify elk who have been tranquilized so that hunters don't eat tainted meat. It often helps identify particularly aggressive males.

  • Comment removed

  • check your boy out at :31 sec, he is wants that KFC $1.99 value box..hell yea!!!

  • Nope, nothing but cats, dogs and drunks roam our streets

  • I would have a strong urge to grab a rope and try to ride one. haha. that sounds fun!

  • Lived there myself, hiked the mountains ... it's wild and beautiful up there and loaded with tourists ... so the elk would be accustomed to going where ever they wanted along side cars and people ...

  • I'm all about living in harmony with wildlife...but WTF...fire bean bags at 'em...they'd stop comin' around eventually. Will someone need to get killed before they take action?

  • "For some reason, they think these animals are tame" - gee, could it be because they've got a fricken TAG on their ears?!

Can't you just...nudge 'em forward with the car?

  • Can't you just...nudge 'em forward?

  • The normally highly respected BBC has dropped to a low I never would have expected. While we do have a lot of elk in Estes Park, this video has been edited like many of the deceptive television shows today. The "attack" shots are not from Estes Park. These are shots from somwhere else dramatically edited in conjunction with shots of an Estes Park police officer to make it appear that these are people in Estes Park being attacked. They are not. This is sensationalism disguised as education.

  • There's no such thing as Estes Colorado. It's Estes PARK.

  • u are taking animal space. move.

  • @slickslagg

    No

  • kinda sad seeing them in all that concrete...

  • I loved watching the "tough" hunter looking men run away and fall like little girls!

  • @christina81578 Yeah, but they'll even the score in the fall : )

  • @christina81578 You enjoy seeing someone being charged by a elk?

  • @christina81578

i'd live to see your reaction of one of these charging towards you

  • @christina81578 what would you do? lock antlers with it?

  • Look at the guy that falls in the bottom left corner @ 2:06 hahahaha

  • @AdvancedGentleman WHAhaa LMAO xD

  • "A STAG PARTY" hahaha

ya but I've been there during these times because my family has property about 5 miles from estes! Beautiful area and I absolutely love it out there!

  • I wonder what they taste like, probably like beef could become a local delicacy cheaper as well just one .5 round……

  • @montgomeryrichard They are very beef-like. Much better for you though, due to being a leaner meat. They do not require a .50, .30 and that neighborhood are more than sufficient. The elk herd size is a big issue, the bigger they get the more likely Chronic Wasting Disease is to show up, that's a big deal.

  • @scottfgray got that in the deer around here in northern IL and southern WI. Used to be able to shoot them from my back porch years ago, got a herd of about 75 on 40 acers, too thick, so we would take one or two a year but stopped when that CWD showed up in WI. Just not worth the risk. Too bad too cuz they were sure tasty. I think this winter may have taken it's toll though don't see as many running through my yard every night. That may help. Natures cure all.

  • Hmmm My M70 30.338 takes great pics of these big bulls... They are sure nice on the table...???

  • I like the guy at 1:52 he thinks it's funny ! Wait till he gets an antler up his ass. That smile will disappear really fast!

  • that's what happens when you restrict hunting!

  • We were in Estes Park, CO about 7 years ago and we were having breakfast at the local resterant and we sat there for about 2 hrs watching the elk, quite amazing!!!

  • P.S. My cousins from Mexico are coming up for a visit and they better be treated right or I'll have the ACLU (Animal Civil Liberty Union) all over your ass. We demand decent food, medical care (all free) and the freedom to roam Estes Park as we please or Barney Fife's segway will be history. Slapshot, you better show up with a keg of Corona or we'll mark your bicycle with a scent that will never wash off. Signed: Big Ed

  • Dear tree huggers, I'm getting tired of golf course grass and want some grain and an occasional Big Mac. Slapshot, thanks for the protection, now point me toward your garden cause I'm in the mood for a big salad. To wash it all down, where are the craft beers in this town? Thanks, Big Ed the Elk King

  • why do they have tags in there ears for

  • OK, Slapshot, You said what about the Human problem? You would be an easy fix for me, no thought, no problem! You are one POS Joke. I ask you, which I can tell is way beyond your tiny mind, for Ideas, real Ideas, No chance from a Moron like you though. Debate is beyond your thought process, I can see by your Ape like writings. Stupid Goes to the Bone and you are Proof Positive of that! I bet I've done more for Wildlife in the past Month, than you have done your whole Sorry worthless life!

  • KIlling an animal isn't murder? OK. You're right...You are better than an animal...why? Your bible told you so? I don't buy it. You can have your beliefs and I'll keep mine. Thanks Billy Bob.

  • yeah...thats a solution..just kill them...because people have more rights than these animals...We were here first and our population growth is more important than these creatures....I lived in Colorado too and had to move because of the mentality of the people-red necks with guns that live in the mountains who want to shoot anything that moves. Nice.

  • Got to Admit, coming from someone who was born and raised in Estse, i get some satisfaction from seeing those big ass bulls chasing those tuorists who just have to see how close they can get. HAHAHA

  • @Booya269 I understand the feeling. I wish the alligators here in Florida would chase the idiots we get every summer.

  • @Booya269 I understand the feeling. I wish the alligators here in Florida would chase the idiots we get every summer.

  • @Booya269 Those "tuorists" as you say are the only reason Colorado has any money. You'd better get on your hands and knees and worship them and kiss their asses. That entire state is owned by retirees and tourists with cash. I lived there. I know.

  • @Booya269 I totally agree with you...tourists have NO idea how much harm they can do if you piss them off...they think it's FUNNY to tease them ! hahaha

  • @Booya269 I was here in June of 1992.We were at Estes Park and it poured for half or so and hail covered the ground,it looked like snow.:)Is that German restaurant still open?

  • @Booya269 I'm way south of Estes but have been there a lot when the elk are in town. It really is amazing to see how stupid people are around these animals. They're beautiful...but mean!!! LOL! I'm with you, though...it's funny to watch.

  • Was up there this weekend and saw some elk

  • 2:05 revenge for his cousin.

  • Me and my Fiancee are having our wedding there this June... hopefully the herd will not be at the wedding site the day of. Or at least behave if they are.

  • Why does everything have to become a "political issue"?I just wondered why people did not seem to understand these antlers are dangerous. By the way, elk is really a decent wild meet, much better than deer which I was fooled into eating once, just like I was fooled both with rabbit and goat. The elk was fed to me by my foster parents who told me it was beef..The thing is things in wrappers at the grocery sore are probably not as healthy. I just don't personally think hunters are wrong,

  • Its just too goddamn bad the elk dont carry guns so they have a fair chance.3

  • soon we will have NO parks because us greedy ass humans need a place to build our lovely houses and golf courses. the reason animals "invade" "our" territory now is because we are pushing them out of the forests, and by us building moreand more, they will have no place to go but zoos, we are slowly killing off animals because of our GREED. shit, wolves are almost extinct, as well as thousands of other of creatures. is a compl;ete fuckin shame. God made us to co exist, not take over

  • I so agree with you. You get it.

  • Elk stay because of the food sourse, Highly Fertilized Grass. Where the food is the best, animals go. No Predators because the Wolves haven't killed all the other game, Yet! When Wolves run out of prey, they too will be moving in for the food. I would like to know where some of you think people should live? Where you live, was once an animals home too. Think of useful Ideas, not Lame never going to happen ones. Food plots away from town? Game Management, simple & smart, unlike enviro-nuts.

  • Is it is our job to manage the population of animals? What about the population pf people? We are taking over the world and consuming all of earths natural resurces. Human population needs control. Not animals you fucking dolt!

  • It appera they are definitely overpopulated and dont have their own space to roam. When there are so many they are walking around the businesses, not somewhere I would choose to be and as much as I love animals, it sounds like there should be hunting season to bring down the numbers and be used for good at food banks, etc..

  • The people who panicked the most were the hunters. Funny

  • There are so many people and they need housing.Quit building in their territory. Canadians have the same problem. I am not even sure why we let soooooo many people in Canada. In the future there won't be any forests left..

  • they may not be tame but they all have an ear tag......go figure

  • ELK WERE HERE FIRST... SO LEAVE THEM ALONE??? SO WERE INSECTS HERE BEFORE US ALL, BUT IF WE "LEFT THEM ALONE"...DID NOT CONTROL THEM, WE WOULD HAVE NO FOOD, NO WOODEN HOMES...?

  • IN REPLY TO OTHER COMMENTS... THE NATIVE AMERICANS WERE HERE FIRST, SO FOLLOWING THE LOGIC OF EVERYONE SHOULD LEAVE EXCEPT THE FIRST WHO WERE HERE.... WE SHOULD ALL START PACKING [OUR BAGS... NOT OUR SIDE ARMS.;

  • @KD5DED1945

No, the Indians were not here first, they EXTERMINATED those who were here before them, so just drop that silly reasoning.

  • @vors Regardless, Christopher Columbus was still the last one to discover the Americas and the US celebrates that yearly.

  • @vors

and who was there before them?

  • This is the same situation in Japan where the Shika deer no longer have their natural predators. It's a hunters' paradise since the government allows for a 5 month hunting season with no limit (limit of 1 deer a day per hunter applies). However Japan has far less hunter so the Shika deers are overpopulated and destroys crops and trees.

  • @TheBladebuster That is interesting. There must be a huge number of deer!

  • @katpratt83

I think 600 thousand in Hokkaido if I am not mistaken. Check out virtuovice channel....lots of vids there on Shika deer hunting and knive reviews

  • omg another example of how stupid people can be!

  • Tear those golf courses down!

  • The best part is when the old man runs

  • elks r so cool but moose r bigger

  • if memory serves me correctly: they were there first and the humans invaded their territory......so humans get used to it or move. now wasn't that easy?

  • @emb1st

LOL I imagine the animals that lived where you do would appreciate if you showed the way.

  • @Thom3568 most of the animals i see have guns and beat up old ladies...but thats a whole other story...

  • Silly humans

  • 0:28, He had the mid day munchies

  • I lived on the SE corner of Old Ranger Dr and Old Man Mountain Ln back in '78 and '79, Had Deer and Elk in the back yard all winter long.. What a site to wake up to...

    belove

  • "your ancestors stole it after all..." So I'm responsible for what my ancestors did? I bet you believe in slavery reparations too. I don't see you blaming your ancestors for losing the battle, why is that? Maybe your ancestors should have been more prepared. War has consequences, your people lost, deal with it and stop whining.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree....all of you leave and we can have our country back...your ancestors stole it after all, and no doubt Mack don't like illegals...which would be all non native people. You got a good point Mack...lets see if you follow through....I agree with chrisk and robincolo775

  • Humans shouldn't have settled in a place where the cow elk live year 'round. The town should be completely removed and the people relocated. This is elk territory. By the way, BBC, a male elk is not called a stag. He is called a bull.

  • @stonemarie It's stupid fuckin people like you that our that our country is out of money. Maybe we should just give the whole country back to the Native American as well. The smart thing would be to kill some elk and give the meat to the poor people in lieu of food stamps.

  • @MackEelWayne Who is the native American? Long extinct. Yellow man 150 years ago. Black, 400 years ago, White, 1000 (Norwegian) then again 500 (South, then North European) years ago. Red/Yellow, 13000 years. Inuit and Phoenician many thousands of years before that...?

  • @stonemarie And in the UK they are called STAGs, which is what you should call them too! Calling deer "cows" and "bulls" is just wrong! In fact the label "Elk" is questionable in itself, because they're more closely related to Eurasian red deer than any of what they actually call "deer" in the States.

  • Time to cull the human population we are almost 7 billion strong and growing we are spreading out to what was the wildernes. Now it is strip malls, suburbia and golf courses and it is not slowing down.

  • @ckrisk You first.

  • @longfangmamba HA HA HA sorry redneck I realise it is plan for most christians and people with an I.Q. under 72 to out number the rest of us. I just made an observation I did not make an argumnet for soilent green.

  • @longfangmamba HA HA HA sorry redneck I realise it is a plan for most christians and people with an I.Q. under 72 to out number the rest of us. I just made an observation I did not make an argumnet for soilent green.

  • @ckrisk It's 7 billion now.

  • 1:45 Why wouldnt u think theyre tame considering they have earring tags on and are casually walking through the city.

  • Charming.

It is clearly "Pamplona for the unfit!"

  • It's called common sense people...I live in Estes and see completely insane tourists, all the time, trying to get that "perfect" shot only to turn and run for their lives. The rut isn't the only dangerous time...early spring, calving is just as bad! Just use common sense...and POACHERS, stay out of our town! A trophy bull was poached this year, in town...that's not hunting, that's a COWARD!

  • This is quite often sighting in Estes Park, CO. More in the fall than in the summer as the elk tend to disappear when we have lots of tourists. I'm not aware of any tourists being skewered as murphygirl asked. However, they have seriously injured tourists and locals , mostly from kicks. 1 woman was planting flowers on 1 side of a huge boulder and didn't know a baby elk was sleeping on the other side of the rock. She was badly beaten by the Mother elk. Broken ribs, spleen injury,... danger!

  • My mistake...this is Estes Park, CO someone told me.

  • Was that "Ann Elk"?

  • boy are those people stupid

  • With the world population rapidly approaching 7 billion, 6,907,762,705 15 minutes ago, focus on reducing the human population. Odd how people see nonhuman animals and they immediately relate it to 'meat' or that we somehow need to get involved to 'thin' their population. Given any thought to thinning the human population?

  • @RandRR1, "given any thought to thinning the human population?"

Have you? Are you fixed? Are your children fixed?

Liberals have already succeeded in annihilating millions of innocent human beings in the name of "choice!” To them, a faceless victim is easy to kill. We learned that from history. The Nazis did it, the KKK did it.

So who do suppose should be the ones to be "thinned?" That is dangerous talk because it just might be you and your family that a dictator choses!

  • @ladydi5319

Yes, had 1; offspring won't have any due to population growth. Read back, ladydi5319, started off with a discussion about killing the elk. How about yourself?

  • @RandRR1,

Someone had you and now you had someone. You are still populating the earth.

You were the one proclaiming the need to "THIN" the human population while refusing to begin with yourself and your family! All I did was ask who you think should be the ones to be "thinned."

  • I thought this was in Wyoming? They have thousands of wolves.

  • Yes, dsmomof3, and the guy who shot that bull (with a crossbow) was, thankfully, caught and convicted.
