  • When I first heard thsi I said to myself, rubbish and crap song how can anyone listen to this guff is beyond me this song is tosh tosh tosh.

  • Cliff's 50th single release

  • The lyrics "girls are waiting in line and now has come the time, I'm going out and I'm gonna get me some" should have been sung by Stan and Jack from On The Buses, which was at its height of popularity in 1970 when this single was released!

  • This song is a hoot, as I'm sure he was THINKING "Goodbye Samantha, and HELLO, Sam!"

  • it stays a nice song .this was our time back to the 60ties .and hee have a clear voice , with women dont falls for his charmes att that time .

  • it stays a nice song .this was our time back to the 60ties .and hee have a clear voice

  • my mum named me after this song!

  • @LittleMsLuvly wow thats awesome Sam. Your Mum must have loved the song. I still do. 40s something now dear. Good luck & goodbye Sam (lols)

  • I canNOT listen to this JUST 1 time

  • BUENAS ROLAS LAS DE LOS 50´s. NO HAY QUE DEJAR QUE SE PIERDAN

  • Given the long standing rumours concerning Cliff Richard's private life, the song should be retitled "Goodbye Samantha, Hello Sam"!

  • @GrahamLondonUK one thing you cant hide is when your crippled inside

  • @GrahamLondonUK This song is guff I could never stand it and still cannot to this day load of, old bosh.

  • @rojblake82 It's just a bit of harmless fun, it would have been a good Eurovision entry! The irony of the song is Cliff discovering girls whereas, in reality, he is very likely to be gay. Cliff has lived with John McElynn for the past ten years.

  • I was born in October 1968 ... this was one of the first songs that I ever remember liking .. and I'm a big Cliff fan now .... off to the Royal Albert Hall in October :-)

  • LOL...this came out in 1971, I was born in 1970 and my parents bought this for me - my first single ever !!

  • 'Im gonna go out and get me some' . I hope the irony is not lost on anybody.

  • I would love cliff to sing this to me, my name is samantha and cliff''s my favourite male singer, love him ~~~

  • Haha my name is Samantha but I get called Sam 2:P

  • wow. i'd forgotten about this one!

  • Hearing this for the first time, I enjoy listening to this mediocre bubblegum song, as Cliff's vocals and interpretation are very good.

  • When i first heard the chorus of this I thought it was a song about sex change lol "Goodbye Sam, hello Samantha". My mum had to tell me what the song was really about. >_>

  • @kalibali what are you like 8?

  • @kalibali This song is terrible and I was tortured by, it in the 90s.

  • @kalibali This song is bloody tosh, and I would never but it in a lifetime no way it sounds stupid and bosh.

  • @rojblake82 ....and they STILL won't bring back hanging....

This song is an absolute fucking CLASSIC!

  • Like the play on the names. Interesting theme for the song. Some of the lyrics are corny though!

  • hahah my name is Samantha =]

  • LOL so is mine ... and my mother was a HUGE Cliff fan ... I have a suspicion I was named after this song!!

  • Hello Samantha

  • this is the very first record i bought for my 10th birthday

  • I was eleven years old when I bought this single! My first single, also aged ten, was Cilla Black's "Surround Yourself With Sorrow" in 1969.

  • Hearing Cliff makes me happy, Hearing Cliff sing happy songs makes me giddy!!! :D

    Thank you!

  • Tune that can become happy lightly and brightly no matter how it

    hears it.

    Thank you.
