  • I waited for when he'll start doing Capoeira. Not even a ginga.

  • bullshit

  • Parkour.....and fancy stick twirling...yawn.

    (Yes, I'm being a Smart-Ass.....)

  • This guy is cool and have a lot of guts to do these moves..... I seriously can punch really hard but can't do a back flip and kicking backward at all.... You guys are just a punch of WUSSY.

  • pretty cool

  • my name is eddy gordo. i do not approve of this video.

  • absolutely terrible! and shame on you using mortal combat music in such an awful video

  • MK theme for life

  • Since when does flipping = capoeira?

  • gym of olimpic games....

  • WHAT THE FUCK WAS THIS..FUCKING IDIOTS MAN.!!!SHIT FOR FUCKING BRAINS.!!

  • hey gymnasts.....your form in your flips suck! Capoeira?...where? dont dumb down 2 great martial arts coz u wanna do flips. Have some pride in your study and practice to land properly without losing your balance.

Apart from that.....I LOVE NUCHAKU!!!! thats awesome!!

  • wheres the wushu o.o

  • Tricking is not Capoeira. AND ALL MARTIAL ARTS ARE GREAT; IT DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL AND HOW HE UTILIZES IT! The best capoerista in the world, whoever he or she is, is a master the likes of which you've never seen.

  • @EvilDarkJackel According to Bruce Lee,there is no "best Martial Art",it depends on the Martial Artist's skill to win the fight. But if you're comparing American Martial Arts to Foreign ones, yes you can say the Foreign Martial Arts is "best",cause boxing & MMA are waaay to slow to compete. No offense to people who like these American arts tho.

  • dude the amount of this video that was capoeria or wushu was like 2% and very poor music choice , nice flips but you still fail

  • of course we all know capoeira will win wushu for sure

  • Throw a real kick or a punch. Looks more like a gymnast montage.

  • nice...

  • Where is the Capoeira? I see gymnastics and stick twirling. But there is not a single clip of Ginga or Armada kick.

  • stopepd the video as soon as the mortal kombat theme started...

  • shit

  • some people don't understand "VS" -.-

  • eh there is no wushu here, only capoera wearing a kung fu outfit lol

  • capoeira and wushu do have certain movement in common.. if you watch single chinese broadsword routines you will see! any way to move fast or startle your opponent can be very useful in fighting!

  • its called a gun they have those now, u guys should look into them it is 2010

  • Wow, the Mortal Kombat song. How original.

  • As one who practices a variety of martila arts I will only offer this bit of intellectual input. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazillian martial art form that was created during the middle passage and disguised as a dance as not to draw suspicion. The flashy moves that now acompany its name serve only add beauty and deception to the style. While true some practicioners focus to much on the flare of it, its effectiveness is ultimately determined by the fighter and his or her understanding of the scicence

  • Capoeira is more to this circus show presentation and WuShu only lack one thing: to learn everything from the beginning, all this rubbish, joining all the "artists" in this spectacle, only going to get beat in Nelson Ned and will be harder still.

What a shame to say that this is something.

    More excited for this weekend.

  • Where is the Capoeira? This is just acrobatics...Change your title its misleading...

  • capoeira loses always

  • this kid is good at backflips but horrible at choosing music.

  • @bimblebumble

Yeah, and someone needs to tell the kid posing in the white hat at the beginning that he can manipulate the camera all he wants, but when you're scrawny and have a soft jaw it's kinda hard to pull off the tough guy look....

  • @bimblebumble Actually, I think this song, while it sucks, it has the proper energy for this video.

  • not bad, really good thumb up =D

  • @kumoryu001 they are both arts, not meant to be used in a fight

  • street dance?

  • tenho pena do joelho dessa galera! heahaehehea

(I fell sorry for those boys knee.) hahaha such a waste of knee..

  • @kumoryu001 one hit is all it takes for an 8 year old with a shotgun to stop the best fighter on the planet. What's your point? Its actually a genius style, I think you're just failing to fully appreciate it. (This video isn't the best to watch to really appreciate it...hahah)

  • k webaa

  • WFT???

  • nice lil show moves... esp the tumbling on sand... its pretty hard to tumble or jump high nuff to get any air. but honestly... work on your 360 butterflies. none of guys get your legs higher than parallel

  • they just want to be power rangers lol

  • Hey lets go and watch the remake of Karate Kid with Will smith's son! oh wait might that be Kung Fu he's learning!

  • where the capoeira in this video?????

  • This is parkour and breakdancing.

  • @dadawg911

you should look up the definition of parkour bro.

  • Gymnastics is awesome. Never seen anyone win a fight with those sweet jumps lol.

  • lol neither capoeira nor wushu, its xma, which is not a martial art. mugs

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • all i seen is back, front flips , kickz, cart wheels.....NO CAPOEIRA

  • sve jedno te isto , all the same wall 4 minutes ....

  • @plin1982 all not wall :)

  • Video would've been a little better if you made somethings match the beat xD Or glorify some words/making it flashy o.o Other, nice job O.o

  • it's freerunning

  • yea, if u try to knock out sum1 like this, ur likely to KO urself, and get buttraped by the nearest homo in heat

  • effin' waste of time.

  • zzzzzzzzzz

  • asi sepan kun fu me la pelan

  • The kid is a great gymnast and athlete... but this has nothing to do with martial arts or fighting skills. And it is totally misleading to try and imply that this is Capeoira vs Wushu. Rubbish.

  • me late toda la acrobacia si se rifan saludos de mexico.

  • Rofl, there goes every piece of martial arts that wushu and capoeira had.

    This is just gymnastics. Ridiculous.

  • o kadarda iyi sayılmaz.

  • atajo de maricas

  • what song is this? Its awesome!

  • it's the mortal kombat song artist is kmfdm and i think the song is titled techno sydrome

  • @athenearosa Mortal Combat theme. Search it ^^

  • @Vo0oDo0oFrosch awesome thanks Vo0oDo0o

  • xma without the extreme part?

  • the gymnastics and flips present in capoeira was used by slaves to train and condition their bodies, you cant exactly do cruches and push-ups when your a slave,

don´t get me wrong, those guys in the video realy do suck, and that is nowere near capoeira, but try looking up "morcego capoeira", he has a lot of videos that are just acrobatics but there is one in particular where he explains abaut capoeira.

    sry bout the english

  • how hard is it to learn capoeira ??

  • @xXWeltchXx VERY HARD=my uncle took it and he said it was harder t olearn capoeria then it was to learn advanced taekwondo=spinning kicks,540,etc. plus he messed up his back from the torque.

  • damn i wana learn it so bad

  • This is NOT capoeira! This is just gymnastics mixed with some other martial art like karate or kung fu. The moves were all wrong for capoeira.

Deducting rating points due to misleading title. Besides that guys weren't that good anyway.

  • While I appreciate Capoeira as an art, there is little in most YouTube video's that cannot be demonstrated by your average gymnastics student, would be nice to see more striking than simply the same flips from different people.

    Still keep at it :)

  • okok capopeira was created when african slaves were brought to brazil. pa que se called los gringos

  • capoiera is monkey..hahaha

  • hahahah what a bunch of crap i just read.....

shut up gringo.. go talk about your culture.. not other´s

  • Ethnocentric fool.

  • Half wrong...It was used as dancing by slaves to develope a fight style that was hidden, like the American slave songs that relayed info secretly.

  • Capuera not dance of Brazil and then a fight to be stupid and look q speaks of Brazil Brazil I morron

  • Capoeira is gymnastics -_- its not viable in fighting.

  • wrong, look up "capoeira 20 second mma knockout".

  • LOL some can gets knocked out in a unknown organization that may or may not even be sanctioned and you think that proves something?

Show me a gymnastics artist that is a champion of a upper tier MMA organisation that isn't also using muay thai, jujitsu, boxing or karate. what you can't? Thats right their never has been. If this guy fought GSP he would get dumped on his head and GnPed end of story.

  • Yes, I did prove something. You said, "it is not viable in fighting" , and I showed it was viable. Also, most people who do capoeira also cross train into BJJ. And this is real BJJ, not that crap that "mixed martial artists" use and claim that they train BJJ.

  • that guy in that video got knocked out cuz he got scared , flinched and lowered his guard,, any other real fighter who isn't scared would beat a capoeira dancer easy. all that energy is wasted doing useless gymnastics/b-boy moves.

  • @Verdigo76 wait how was capoeira from wing chun. wing chun is very grouneded and no part of capoeira i've seen has any wing chun in it. the "gymnatsics form" of kung fu is modern day sport wushu btw

  • @monkeyking32 He's just someone that is running his mouth. He is both fabricating this and has no clue about martial art history.

  • thats not always the case

  • i agree with everyone else on this post, where the hell is the capoeria!... oooh backflip! 8-D

  • uhmmm... no capoeira, is taekwon do XD

  • where is capoeira?

  • are like the same

    but in capoeira dance

    and in wu shu fight

    buts like the same

    flips and those stuff

  • you are portugal? :d

in capoeira fighhts tooo. jogo duro.

i love capoeira. my friend Pe De Mola has a group in Przemyśl in Poland and i've got martial arts trickz group names MatriCKZ :)

    pozdrawiam serdecznie :)

  • @mestreSeba

yeah i know they also fight

    but its like a dance

and wu shu they dont dance

i have practiced and i liked

because now i know do some flips and that kind of thins

and im from mexico man ;)

  • mexico is very pretty. i like it :) sombrero and whatever :D but best Capoeiristas are only in Poland ;) We have Mariusz Pudzian and Adam Małysz :D

  • To compare acrobatics between wushu and capoeira students is dumb... they both get to learn the same style of XMA...

It comes to the point that in this video they look alike.

And dont put VS when you are just comparing...

  • fuck u, no fight, if no fight dont put VS in it, it sux

  • this is acrobatics, no capoeria or wushu to be found here :(

    good acro though :)

  • impressive as athletes not as martial artists.

  • yeah really good athletes i give them credit abou that!!

  • not bad -but u should get better with the nunchacks

  • posers

  • All I saw were fancy dance moves or exotic martial arts if you think these are martial arts.

None of the moves I just saw are of any use in relation to fighting.

Nun chucks, as far as Wushu is concerned, is not a very common weapon choice. Wushu has many more sword and staff techniques than Nun chuck techniques.

  • @JCHCUser Yeah, I question the usefulness of a lot of those moves... But I know one thing, if I could do that shit, I sure as hell would try it in a fight, at least once. Cause if it did work, it'd look bad ass.

  • @burninmunkeys

Can't agree with you more. although windmills can hurt assuming you can stay in it long enough to gain momentum. My friend got in the way of my windmills and he broke some ribs...

  • @JCHCUser That's one thing I love about Capoeira is how they build up their momentum in most moves to unleash devastatingly powerful blows. I wish I had a place to take classes :/

  • @burninmunkeys You can always learn what you can on your own, but remember to take it slow, don't try anything out of your league, stretch, and never use any martial art for personal power gain.

  • @JCHCUser Windmills was never part of the art. It's from break dancing.

  • @epics7 No Duh. I was just saying that windmills have a lot of momentum.

    Read the statement.

  • @JCHCUser Have you ever thought about what happens when the "fancy dance moves" connect with your face? =]

  • @Pyropunk714

Try me... I've been around awhile and i've seen Martial Arts. Anyone can flail his arms around and call himself dangerous. I'm not at all against Capoeira or Wushu. I'm just saying this is presented more like free running.

  • @JCHCUser

Wushu and Capoeira are both ARTS and are not meant to be practical in a fight, they are just cultural, think break dancing, serves no real purpose but people think its fun and theres a culture behind it. They are called MARTIAL ARTS because the moves are based off of what used to be training for either war or self defense

  • @aftpuser i'll go with that a little on capoeira. i just can't see something with that much excess being viable. but dude wushu will f' your shit up.

  • @fishstixbgbeory No I've fought people in MMA who did wushu for years, all it is is an ineffective rip-off of kungfu

  • @aftpuser Hate to tell you but Capoeira was developed by slaves who believed that your hands are meant for creating not destruction which is why they only use their feet and are quite good at getting away from their opponents... calling it just an art, is quite downgrading to what it really represents and is, and rather ignorant at the same time.

  • @burninmunkeys

I do capoeira and I can say right now I honestly dont give 2 shits what some idiot on the internet thinks.

  • @aftpuser Stop spewing non facts. Capoeira was initially a fighting martial arts before Mestre Bimba made it into a Regional sport. Hence why it was made outlawed because the mestre feared and the tribes that trained it actually used it to both protect and killed with it. The dancing was added later as well as the acrobats to hide it.

  • @epics7 youre a retard, capoeira not a fighting art, it was a game, its always been a game, and what the fuck are you talking about? what is this in relevance to?

  • @aftpuser You mother's a retard. The only game here is me running game on your mother. Relevance? You're either slow or just have your head up your ass. Meh, it's both. Capoeira wasn't always a game. It became a game after it was made legal in Brazil. It was outlawed due to it being a fighting art. History and Google is your friend. I have a friend from there that teach it. That's what the fuck I'm talking about.

  • @epics7

Sweet, you have the maturity of a 9 yearold. I am a capoeirista, and I dont give 2 fucks about your "friend from Brazil". it is a game and a strong cultural tie to a very important part of Brasils history, its not an advisable method of self defense or as a fighting style, it would be dangerous to suggest otherwise to anyone interested in taking it for those reasons. Just want to end on this note, I wish AIDS upon your family

  • @aftpuser To be fair, you could probably lay someone out pretty deep with a well placed meia lua.

  • @Rimmer7

Yeah, look up the 20 sec capoeira knock out. im not saying that you can find application for capoeira, im saying as far as a means of self defense, dont rely on it

  • @aftpuser *cant

  • @aftpuser if all you know about capoeira comes from a 20 second video, than i wouldn't rely on your information either.

  • @ikcjjtt

    I am a capoeirista

  • @JCHCUser 1 He said it was a montage 2 none of those moves are meant for fighting. The very first capoeiraist had to disguise it as a dance to develop and teach it in order to be able to use it to free themselves from slavery, so open a damn book before you open your damn mouth.

  • @YoBreaKing It was DISGUISED. Capoeira was never meant to be purely a dance. People partake in capoeira for fun, dancing, or simply to revive and remember their peoples heritage.

The title, "capoeira vs wushu" misleads the reader or viewer to thinking that there is some level of combat involved. i.e. they chose the wrong title name.

It is only presented wrong. If I may quote myself, "I'm not at all against Capoeira or Wushu. I'm just saying this is presented more like free running."

  • they should use capoeira in come dancing uk because thats all its fit for

  • ... there's no wushu in this video.

nun chucks are not wushu weapons

and this guy has terrible capoeira form.

    go youtube search wushu

and the FIRST result would show you this has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

  • Seems to be alot of silly jumping around wasting energy that could be used to attack.

  • Com esses pulinho de bixa ai num guenta nem dois mim comigo no Muay Thai kkkkkkkkk

  • capoeira is jus one of da best not only sayen dis cuz im brazilian but because ive seen ppl dat know wupe so much ass

  • The capoeira has nice moves and is good to watch, however, a good fighter will conserve energy. Dancing around will cause you to lose stamina, so i suppose it is more of an exhibition rather than a form of fighting.

  • capoeira skills translate to wushu very easily, as to say you can use capoeira and wushu together effectively

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahhahahaha

  • good show girls

  • a ver muy bien los ovimientos aereos pero yo no he visto capoeira ni wushu en ningun momento.

  • nice moves u got mad skills man

  • I love both styles of fighting....Kung Fu kicks ass... But the brazillian dance fighting is like ur beating someone up wen ur breakdancing....lol awesomeness

  • I like to see a breakdancer knock a guy out with a Turtle.

  • any real fighter knows there is no style

  • thats xtreme martial arts but very nice on being able to do it and at 2:37 i think its an awesome triple kick

  • That's not capoeira... it looks cool, I wouldn't mind seeing that at the circus.

    Fighting art my @ss!

  • wait.... capoeira and wushu both can't actually...... fight so WOOHOO

  • This is Xtreme Martial Arts Not Capoeira or Wushu

  • nice flips i enjoyed the nuncuk moves beleave in your self and keep practiceing

  • it's not capoeira brazil ,sorry !

    ridiculous video

  • Those are some cool nunchaku moves at the end there, but is that all the Wushu there is in this vid?

  • desculpe ,mas isso não eh capoeira Brasil..sorry!! Brasil....

  • se esses caras pegasem um capoeira bom! que nao se acha fazendo floreio!

  • That wasn't capoeira. I would be a lot more impressed if you titled this 'Tricking' or something. And where's the wushu?

  • im sorry, but you are terrible.

  • they practised show capoeira :?

  • hahaha french learning a african brazilian dance/martial art

  • where is capoeira this is onli freerun or le parcous but not capoeira!!!

  • But why would Parkour or free runners do their acrobatics on the ground instead of walls or buildings? Doesn't make much sense. Line started at 1:20 is definitely martial arts based, all those twists and turns in a row would be useless for Parkour. Both are very gymnastic in nature, but I can't remember a free running video with back hand springs. Always a front or backward tuck. Same basic principles, but some of it was outside of normal Parkour.

  • ok but you wrote that this is capoeira vs wushu but this isnt video about capoeira and wushu ....... these are only amazing jumps not capoeira....... do you agry with me???

  • I didn't write it is capoeira vs. wushu. Whoever named the video did. It's not really a vs. video. It's just different martial arts styles incorporating flips and kicks.

  • Athletic. But what does this have to do with martial arts ?

  • As far as I'm concerned, it depends on the person and how they can apply it. I think 90% of practitioners in any martial art would probably not be able to use it effectively.

  • look at oso duro that brazilian guy uses it effectely

  • anyone whos says capoeira cant be used in a real fight is a dumbass. I could just completely point out your stupidity for all of youtube to see, but ill just tell you to look up the history of capoeira.

It freed an entire people from slavery, saying it cant win a fight is ridicules.

  • It cant, dumb cunt

  • then you have my blessing to prove to me why. What evidence do you have that says that capoeira is in adequate? Get your ass out of the UFC and look at the real world

  • im just saying its for faggots. No but seriously kick boxing is way more effective than that shit

  • yeah but the whole point was that they were pretending they were dancing, other forms of martial arts are more effective imo

  • they pretended it was dancing because they had to disguise it from their owners. If they all stood in the field and practiced punches and kicks they would have been killed, so this was the bezt way to go.

REGARDLESS of what people say, it freed a an entire people from slavery and it probably has the biggest toll on the body than maybe any other style. In reality it all comes back down to the person and not the style

  • I dont think anybody dissagrees about capoeira history as far as it being disguised as dancing so the slave owners wouldnt mind.

but are you serious about an entire people having freed themselves from slavery using capoeira?

its just sounds so ridiculous and made up to me.

I couldnt find any record of it, I looked.

  • you obviously didnt look hard enough.

    senzalaseattle(DOT)com/What%20is%20Capoeira(DOT)htm

you dont even need facts to point out the obvious. Slaves practicing a form of combat in disguise, ? i mean what else are they going to use it for?

  • so the fact that they practised it is enough to say that they overthrew their slave masters?

I dont doubt that they practiced it, and why, by the way.

i looked on wikipedia, didnt find anything about an entire people freeing themselves from slavery.

I think that if it was a matter of public record, it would have said something about that.

  • ok, I looked a bit further on capoeira sites, and by now i'm convinced you either assumed some things after misreading some info, or you just make stuff up.

maybe you just like to exagerate, who knows?

  • well freeing themself from slavery doesnt happen like 10 000-100 000 people running away at same time if that would happen there would have camed an army after them

the escapes happened in small groups that haventh been marked in any history books ...

  • so no one would know how and if they used capoeira to free themselves. (instead of running away in the night for example),

and fredman5551's claim was an assumption and an exageration, just like I said...

  • a solute from me...
