Hey, if you install snow leopard on your hackintosh leopard would it be as easy as installing snow leopard on a actual Mac or do you have to do the bootloader process again
Also, Apple company do not allow to install a Mac on any other PC except PCs which are compatible with apple softwart or with the label "Made for Mac OS X"
hi fox, m using a asus P5N73-AM mother board, core 2 duo 2.8 ghz, 2gb ddr2 ram, sata dvd, i couldnt even find any mac distro to instal in my PC, is there is any way to do this..
Yes, that's true. I don't like to put my real information on most stuff. My main thought about that is, "Why do they need it? What will they do with it?" The more you think about those two questions, the less you want to reveal your real personal information online.
@GimpAlchemist Yes, but they are not the same. Some characters are identical, but both languages have simplified the original Kanji in different ways. Additionally, they use the Kanji differently. Knowing Japanese can only help me get a general idea from some Chinese writing. Signs are easier to interpret, but regular sentences are difficult, since there are many Kanji used differently or that are not used in Japanese.
dude i really need some help ive downloaded "boot 123" do i need to make the files into an iso. because i put all the loose files onto a cd hoping that it would work but it didnt.
It sounds like you tried to run a system with incompatible hardware. Watch my first video in the series.
You are also entirely uninformed about the subject. All of my videos were edited and exported using Final Cut Pro on my Hackintosh. I've played many hours of World of Warcraft on it. The performance is nothing short of incredible, and the stability rivals Windows XP/Vista/7. See my video where I demo it, running Final Cut Pro with HD video and a 3D game.
i was wondering im using a hackintosh just now but when i installed it i looked forward to seeing the leopard first boot video that says welcome in different languages oh well can u please tell me if u know how to get this to show up once u have installed mac osx on PC hardware.
You need to have your graphics card recognized from the first boot-up. Then it will show the video. Otherwise, the resolution is deemed too low (1024x768 base VESA resolution) and the video is skipped.
Hey man, that's awesome. Didn't know that. I'll keep it in mind ;). I love the internet. I remember back before the internet, the only way to get info was to talk to someone who knew, buy a book, or just play around endlessly in front of a command prompt. Collective knowledge is a good thing.
When u put the bootloader disk back in after it says it failed, do you shut the computer off when you open the drive first? or put it in while the computer is on.
Sounds like you're running into trouble. Try looking up how to install the kexts for your ethernet chipset, and then reinstall them. Try a variety of things. Once you find what works, you may need to reinstall and use what works to avoid all the other failed attempts you made that may cause conflicts later.
If you watch through all the parts of the video, you'll see how to install the boot loader onto your hard disk, so that you will never need the boot loader CD again... unless you reinstall or have trouble. Download and use OSx86 Tools for a simple, graphical installation of the EFI boot loader :)
Hey Stellarola! Yes you're absolutely right. I realized that after uploading the video. Thanks for pointing it out. It is definitely an issue with booting up the system, not power management.
That Install Failed has nothing to do with power management. There's a driver on your boot-132 disc that has a UUID fix. Since the UUID is generic and not the same as UUID as the HDD you installed to it gives a Install Failed error. It's trying to load a fake UUID, which it can't. In all honesty that error won't stop you because it's not really an error. It's just not loading your startup volume, which is your primary HDD.
was it me or did I catch a LOST reference?

For an Apple ID, you use it to buy things from the apple online store, so they need your name and address.

Hackintosh sucks.
Your running an operating system that has no drivers.
it has no idea what it's being run on or how to work the hardware.
I have had my experience with it and it crashes, constant kernal panics, slow.
If you have the money get a real mac.

And get compatible hardware.
thejapanesechallenge 2 years ago
First of all, it has drivers, you just don't have constant problems with them.
Second, if you have kernel panics constantly, you've done something wrong.
I do have a mac, but I'll make this a little winter project of mine.

EthernetKid 2 years ago
it doesn't matter as long as u put the bootloader in b4 it boots up i.e. before the computer tries to load an operating system

you don't have to use the boot up disk every time you turn the computer on do you? that would really suck.
