  • @NitroAndDeathMetal Looks like a species of genus Stagmomantis, the wings that are shorter than the abdomen are a particular clue. I cannot tell exactly what species it is, that depends on the location where this was filmed.

    S. limbata and S. californica are possibilities. Stagmomantis carolina is also possible. This might even be a S. floridiensis, but the one I had last year was more stick-like.

  • ok.. you know that they do not have binocular vision.. (they're eyes are on the sides of their head.. not in front)... so they have to move like that in order to judge distance.. they move side to side.. it helps them judge distance.. :)
