If not by the fact that I have seen this behavior I would say WOW, but it seems like Beagles are crafty when is about food, similar thing happened at my friends house, but Melon did cap the whole pan where the meat was warm and ready to be served, and nop, he doesn't mind if the food is hot, he just care about eating....oh man, he's just plain fun :)
if the dog is smart enough to use the oven to access the countertop, im sure she knows the feeling of a hot stove and not to touch, if in fact it was on. i know mine does. so what danger was she in.
If your dog is that much a food lover, you train them not to take food without premission. 1st off, the dogs fat already. 2, if you love your dog why do you find it funny that the dog puts itself in danger just to get food...
