Before I was saved I listened to Melvins, Mr. bungle, etc. I wouldn't have listened to anything like this in secular music. Its kinda funny how christians and other religious groups will look down on and condemn cults but when you listen to christians speak they sound the exact same. Of course if what I believe is true, I'll never get to say I told you so, thats the downside. But thats ok, I'll take the truth any day.
I believe what Jeremy is saying that what this world has given you give it up like the disciples did they left everything to follow Jesus. Ive been learning for the past year and something since I was born again that I have to take what I did in the past and throw it away but only to testify or witness to someone. Jesus did so much for me not to give this world up Id give it all away for Jesus and heaven.
It's all the past sins you are aware of and ashamed of...it's all the old sins you repented of and feel false guilt over...let the old life fade into the sea of His forgetfulness....do not look back.
if you look at the pictures the woman was drinking and in some she looked kinda drunk, so that was the life she as ashamed of and I guess embarassed to have the evidence as a pic. So... She cried. Then she let go of that life and the pictures faded.

Yes & No. We shouldn't do anything that is opposite of what the word of God says, but just because someones advice isn't in opposition to his word, that doesn't mean it is the right advice for you to follow. Not all problems are a matter of following God's laws...some are about following his will for your life...and THAT is where the prayer and seeking him come into place. We will make mistakes along the way. Hopefully you learn from them and stay on track.

Trust in him that you will understand in time.
