I used Reflex in the demo. If you start up Reflex, and select the HC4500 in the options menu, it remembers it has to hook up to the HC4500 when it gets connected. So I connected the unit, and then I started reflex, and reflex then searches and finds the controller... then everything is settled.
I don't know how it works in Traktor, but traktor should definately support it.
Am wondering about interfacing the Denon unit you have, which I've just got, into windows to control software.
I didn't see you hook midi in. Is it already connected?
As I've just started crawling thru all the books and simply messing around, is it a matter of the DJ software used? I bought Traktor 3 some time ago and have been just messing with it on this box in my studio so I'll likely stick with. Does PCDJ allow control w/ Den via USB vs MIDI? Did I buy the wrong app?!
Hey man, I like how you showed the demonstration. I want to purchase a DNHC4500 along with DNX050 mixer. I am noob to the scene, but I only plan on doing basement parties and rooms that can have up to 60 people. Do you think this system is good for someone who just plans on doing some advanced effects but no major scratching or anything of that sort. I just want to buy a nice system that's good to party with, and just have a good time. What are your suggestions? What about speakers? thxbro
As you can see; i'm still using them. When turntables can be more fun and are EASIER to mix with; that's no reason to force YOUR choice. You seem to think your cool by it as it's even in your nick ^^. I guess your reaction comes out of the fact you're actually amateur
A remote which controls a little device plugged into the socket which lets power trough or not. You can use it for every device with a powerplug. It costs about §15 for the remote + 3 devices
2) are hard drives limited to 50 thousand songs max like the HD2500?
3) if you dont have a laptop, can you wheel-scroll thru songs on a hard drive faster than the SSLOW HD-2500 (takes 20 seconds just to get thru the A's!)
4) and if so, do the songs on the hard drive show up on the display of the 4500?
5) can you easily switch from BU4400 tray unit, to an ipod, to a hard drive, to a USB drive, to your laptop?
No they don't, in CD mode the controller works just as the controller of the DN-D4500. So only master tempo, loop with beatcut, pitch to 100%, hotcue, brake.
Easily top 5% best of videos when it comes to deciding to purchase a piece of gear. I almost wish there was a better term then DEMO for these better more in depth and close up vidz. I'd say this is a great 'HC4500 RUNTHROUGH demo'. Good work

I'm guessing you are talking vinyl.
Pretty damn hard to use vinyl as a mobile DJ these days.
Especially if you want to be able to take any requests.

Question , the thing that you switch on after you open the laptop, is an external Hard disk?
Could you please send me the brand and model if so?
Thank you

A Packard Bell 250G; it's already broken :)
Doesn't matter which external drive you use.

Does the Denon HC4500 come's with the PCDJ Reflex?
nancycristina21jbdg 3 years ago
It comes with a demo of Reflex. You can also download a 14 day trial of Reflex from PCDJ.
The HC4500 is very well integrated with Reflex. They are designed to work together.

did u have the 4500 conected to a bu4500 cd player?
scribe93 3 years ago
yes
djexca 3 years ago
would u recommend having the bu4500 with the 4500 or buy another separate cd player
scribe93 3 years ago
Buy the BU4500; it won't cost you much extra to have one of the best. As you see switching to it is easy and seamless

This is a great product !!
Just want to say that you must have to change your mixer, because a BST digital 194 is a......
Prefer a Denon DNX-900

djpadern 4 years ago
Maybe the BST sucks, but this is a Synq! ;) only the housing is the same...
Anyway, when it's broken, i'll buy something high-end probably... just waiting for a new pioneer 19" effectsmixer that's all :)
djexca 4 years ago
Oooohhh Excuse me !!
It's because they have the same look, so.....
Synq is even a good product no ?
Why don't you put a 14/15" pioneer mixer with adapters ?
How much is the Denon in your country ?
