  • Made in Slough, y'know!

  • Barry Gray must have been a tough boss.... listen to the poor guy on the tuba, pomp-pomping away with that riff for all he's worth, and struggling to keep up. Almost impossible to play that instrument that quickly. (Listening again, it might be a trombone, but the same applies!)

  • Anywhere you can purchase the intro theme/ outro Aqua Marina?

  • Stand bye Launch STINGRAY

  • It sounds like the inside of my stomach after I drink tequila and Jaeger together.

  • pico & sepulveda Pico & Sepulveda

  • All hands to battlestations anything could happen in the next hour!

  • @SR71ABCD ...half hour, or double bill?

  • So awesome..I can't find a word to describe it!

  • Were about to launch Stingray!!!

  • Love the drums in the background.

  • great ty x

  • The minute the song starts, you get this essence of power that you didn't often get in British theme songs back then. Even though the shows were great, Barry Gray is an underrated composer. He should be remembered as TV's answer to John Williams.

  • The great Barry Gray at his best.

Pumping brass and manic drumming that makes a lot of other 60s music seem tame.

  • After this introduction, you are glued to your seats fully expecting a great show....

  • Actors a bit wooden maybe?

  • Insanely high energy.

    Surfer drums and blasting brass

  • This tune kicks ass!

  • In 1965 I was a kid in a snobbish Classical Music school in Manhattan and I recall thinking "This music in MUCH to good for JUST a kid's puppet show." But Hell-- I watched it religiously because it was that original and that good.

  • Remember taking a bath with my Stingray

  • Marineville must have had conga drummers on-call 24/7 to play their drums as a warning to residents to take cover!!!

  • Marina I love you still!!!!

  • good show but Joe ninety was better

  • fek off nob

  • That was awesome; is this available on CD now? How come you've got a sound-effects clean, studio copy of the opening theme?

  • Ya, I have not heard this exact version before. killer tune.

  • lol...gr8, thx, I loved this show as a kid in England...I feel young again...

  • Stingray's a very good show. One of the first, if not the first British show to be filmed in colour. Awesome stuff!

  • I'm from America, and I used to watch this show on an American children's TV show. I also read somewhere that the Mike Sammes Singers were chorus singers in the Beatles song "I am the Walrus." Is that true?

  • LOL- i'm travelling in my time-machine !!!

  • Does the drumming remind you of "George of the Jungle"?

  • almost tribal

  • This was a proper song with exactly 1 verse

  • Action shows of the 60's didn't screw around. No silly rock and roll or screaming acid inspired crap. Just straight up hard driving intensity.

  • Seriously those drums are the shit!

  • How did they remember those lyrics??

  • How exciting is this music? Magic!!!!

  • This is one of the best theme music, just love it.

  • its FANTASTIC i love Troy hahahahaha

  • Troy must be in his 70s now.

  • ya but looks hot for his age LOL ;)

  • THIS MUSIC IS SO COOL!!!
