This was the single most memorable piece from the entire game... besides the epically beautiful data screen music. My opinion was that they really wasted this one, on a couple of mundane battles. It should have been boss fight music. The battle at Brigand's Den would have been perfect for it....

This is a great piece and all, but I suspect that if it were never played my characters would have far more experience. I get too involved in the attitude of the song and end up killing everyone in three turns.

First time i did the battle with Rafa, she was in critical and she ran in to the area of effect of shiva when she attacked a low ninja. I swear Rafa has to be the dumbest AI in the whole game.

Don't get me wrong, I also like Nippon Ichi style games but they are all basically mindless "level up = moar stats = win". You can't do that in FFT; no matter how much more hp you have over the enemy, if you get disabled you can't do a thing. In most games you can ignore status effects; who cares about silence when you can oneshot that mage? But if he can take a beating for several rounds, suddenly all those nasty spells he can fling in the meantime become a real danger.

there should REALLY REALLY REALLY be an add-on of final fantasy tactics instead of some STUPIDASS tactics advance or A2. the next game doesnt have to be a sequel, it can be about the previous 50 year war, or the lion war during the mid of a game. you can take control of a common soldier either from the white or the black lion's side, and your story can intertwine with ramza, just like the concept of half life, blue shift, opposing force

@kashewz I agree, the handhelds were pretty blah. FFT had a pretty solid engine, as evidenced by the mod produced by the Hacktics crew - all they did was give the enemy AI some actual decent setups and matched story enemy levels to the player party, and hey presto the game was suddenly a huge challenge. Normal FFT is already pretty nice - the fact there are too many broken skills is why people think it's easy - but give the AI some good setups and it really makes you fight for your wins.

This is the best battle song....it has a driving rhythm like all the others, but that gorgeous melisma in the strings that carries throughout the entire song is what makes this one. It sounds like it's telling a story.
