why do people put a huge turbo and keep the same restrictive exhaust? i never got that, those mufflers are holding an extra 10hp at least and sound like crap yet ur just gonna leave em on when u put a gt2871R in that thing, i mean come on quit this noob crap and step ur game up
@metallicafn power is to be found by adding boost/fuel with bigger turbos and fueling systems. Exhausts are noob, they are for fanboys who want to brag about how sick their car is. 10 horsepower is an unnoticeable difference, the only thing u do notice is the sound. Calling someone who probably got an extra 100 hp out of their engine by upgrading their turbo a noob because they didn't spend $800 on a new exhaust is just plain stupid. Just my $0.02.
@Sandor203 ok well heres the thing first off i didnt spend 800+ dollars on a exhaust like a moron i bought two decent mufflers and got a shop to make the piping custom cost me 200 bucks so u fail there epicly, second every tuning company there is provides an upgraded exhaust system because they know if ur turbo has stupid backpressure u make shit power and lose races thats a fact genius because ur stock mufflers r made for k03 not gt28 o did i blow ur mind with simple logic but wait theres more
@Sandor203 another thing i dont brag about how sick my exhaust is because the only reason it put it on there to begin with is to help with turbo spool/low end torque and im no fanboy but thanks for trying i know what i know from years of experience so ur whole bit about u dont need to do anything to exhaust its all engine is an amatuer thought at best any guy who has actually put money into their audi will tell u its one of 1st things to upgrade because its uber restrictive but wait theres more
@Sandor203 one last thing just made me laugh quite quite hard because ur obviously just so ignorant about these things(10 hp) in a small 4cylinder like the ones we have on the a4's are always noticeable because most of the time we make at best 450 ish hp with gt35 turbos and having a gt28 which should be making 320-350 hp well its indeed noticeable and notice i said 10hp at LEAST because with bigger turbo's (gt28) its like 20-30 so again u dont know shit next time at least research befor posting

Besides you're still wrong, show me two dyno charts where a 1.8t gets an extra 20-30hp because of an exhaust... and mufflers do not need to be changed when upgrading the turbo, cats do, and only when the boost is cranked up. Having high flow mufflers or a good exhaust sounds nice, and for that reason totally worth it IMO, but the performance increase isn't really that much.

I've got my audi on a dyno like dat. that dyno read 18% lower than most dyno. With my setup i was pushin 289@ the wheel on that dyno. Dyno jet i was doin 332@ the wheels.
yeah the dyno dynamic is way lower i have a chipped gti i had put my apr chipped gti mk4 on there with a couple of mods b4 i did big turbo and it was around 190bhp but on the dyno jet it was around 230bhp, now i have a stage 3+ and im getting 340bhp on the dyno dynamics so on the jet thats probly awesome
