Shaukat ali is a great singer,but the gurdaas mans challa is done with beats different music etc.. this is done with just genuine instruments his playing him self,

gurdaas mans version is also done in a proper studio,because it was used in a movie.

@jataxe21 this one is kool in its own way, but Gurdas Mann's 1986 version is by far the best version in my opinion.... it's down to personal choice really not being biased in anyway with regards to nationality, i'm pakistani but still i prefer Gurdas Mann

Mate this song was originally sung by Inayat Ali, Shaukat Ali's brother in 1972 whereas Gurdas Mann sang it in 1986.

Then it was recorded by Shaukat Ali...and Then it was Gurdas Mann.

Besides all that, Challa is a traditional song sung by many before Inayat Ali, Shaukat Ali, and Gurdas Mann

So to recap, original challa RECORDING doesnt belong to great Gurdas Mann Saab.

Gurdas Mann sung this song too inii.. this has a Qwali feel too it.. i don't know why. Its really peaceful and relaxing. Gurdas Mann sounds cheery and makes you want to dance. Both are legands in there own right. Collab between both of them would = WOW!
