The F18 Super Hornet may be criticized for its lack of range and payload. But it does something that no other plane can imitate or rival. It produces the most spectacular vapor cones of them all 1:23 (well, apart from the F14 Tomcat)

And that Whaboom! it makes at 1:29 is just so awesome.

I can never get enough of this plane. My best fighter. I just love it. Thanks for the post.

It's illegal to break the sound barrier. I don't know the specifics, but I'm assuming you have to be above a certain altitude or something to legally go past mach 1.

They didn't break the sound barrier at Miramar. If your talking about the vapor cone around the Hornet, thats nothing. It doesn't mean it broke the sound barrier. They go that fast at Nellis but there is no moisture at Nellis so you cant see it like that.
