At last my love you do me to cast me out discourteously. And I have loved you for so long, delighted in your company. Greensleeves was all my joy, greensleeves was my delight, greensleeves was my heart of gold. And who but my lady greensleeves
@aryelWC Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the vid! That scene is from season 2 Im not sure which episode exactly but it will be one of the latter ones. Hope that helps xxx
its funny how she lost the son that was going to be king and she got beheaded for that but her daughter elizabeth was even greater than than. he must have felt bad! lol suckkaaa
i don't think a hyperactive sex drive really implies true undeniable love, especially since he sends her to be beheaded, although good vid and I love this song
@cartergirl3of3 However you can't deny he had feelings for her. He was grateful enough to allow her to be beheaded by a swordsman, instead of an axe, and in those days, it took longer to sever the head from the neck by the axe. Where as the sword cut her head of with one swing. He did grant her mercy as far as that goes. And if you watch in the final season when the ghosts of his first three wives come back, she's the only one he calls back to, when she already left.
Honestly anne boleyn was an amzing charecter. she litterally, gives women these days a good name. shows were much more capable than seducing men, but using our charm and wit to get what we want. whatever the cost. in this case it was queen, of england, mother of elizabeth, and making england its own independant country.
wonderful! even more dramatic because you've put that song (wasn't henry supposed to have written it for anne?) instead of the dialogues in the scenes... and the thing with elizabeth is lovely. really remarkable!
@MsIrisSantos yes, i think that was really irony of fate... i would love to know what henry would have said if he had known what his "minor" daughter became and how his beloved stupid boy ended...
@sulaka123 he became king after henry's death (as a young teenager) but others (uncles or someone) ruled for him. his constitution was not very good and he died at the age of about 15 or so without having done anything remarkable... that's what i have in mind about him, i don't know so many details, too =)
well i suppose its better that way. not to say he deserved to die, but i believe elizabeths reign as queen was the greatest in history. i like victoria's though :)
@sulaka123 yes, 15 or 16... i think you're right, he was a poor guy, but not an important king. elizabeth was great indeed - just as i think her mother was! victoria's life and reign was also interesting, i like her too =)
@MyDreamLivesInMe honestly anne boleyn was an amzing charecter. she litterally, gives women these days a good name. shows were much more capable than seducing men, but using our charm and wit to get what we want. whatever the cost. in this case it was queen, of england, mother of elizabeth, and making england its own independant country.
Wrong. The firs ttime they have sex (I think by love you mean sex, right?) was in the First Season, Episode 10. They went to the forest and had sex there. Check 0:38.
@MsIrisSantos: Okay right the first time, in the show anyhow that Anne and Henry make love is in season 2 when they travel to France. Whilst I have no desire to be graphic about these things, in episode 10 of season 1 they actually didn't go all the way. Watch the part in that episode if you want to know more. x
@ryuu304: It was once thought that Greensleeves was composed by Henry VIII when he first fell in love with Anne Boleyn as an expression of his frustration over her unwillingness to give herself to him completely. However the style of the music seems to indicate a later time period, most likely Elizabethan.
I absolutely love this video & The Tudors. I have always been fascinated and have felt a strong connection to Anne Boleyn.I love the song too.Can you tell me who or what band composed this version of "Greensleeves"??Absolutely beautiful & breathtaking the song & your video. Thank you!!
Beautiful video!! I love how you have underline that Anne died, yes, but her final victory was her daughter, Henry's daughter, Elizabeth...and she was the biggest queen of England....but she was the daughter who Anne gives to him.
I copied and pasted it from Wikipedia because I noticed a lot of people had left comments saying Henry the VIII composed greensleaves but as a music teacher I have studied musical theory and it is widely beleived that he did not compose this piece of music however I agree whole heartedly with laurenlfc48 that, regardless of who composed it, the music fits the video perfectly. :)
There is a persistent belief that Greensleeves was composed by Henry VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Boleyn. Anne rejected Henry's attempts to seduce her and this rejection is apparently referred to in the song, when the writer's love "cast me off discourteously." However, Henry did not compose "Greensleeves", which is probably Elizabethan in origin and is based on an Italian style of composition that did not reach England until after his death.[1
I love this video it's very well done, and the song greensleeves was composed by the king Henri VIII to Anne Boleyn that's why it fits so good in the video!!
Oh, my, gosh.....this is one of THE best "Tudors" videos on here....the music is great, the clips are wonderfull, and I love how you have the title scenes. This almost brought me to tears. 5 stars but I would so give you more
I want to contragulate you. Your video is wonderful. As my concern, Anne Boleyn was an incredible woman, ahead of her time, intelligent, with many wit. She didn't hesitate to exprim her POV about any subjet, as you told yourself. She was courageous. She was talented, spoke several langages and her abilities were noticed by greats characters When we read what was her days before her execution and she stayed strong, we can be admiring.
one thing i dont get, if henry wasnt ginger, neither was anne? erm, how is elizabeth ginger?:/ reallyy weird:L
