Lol I've noticed that when I talk to people about faith, they'll say " catholic", I'll say "nondenominational" and the guy next to us will say " Christian". I know it only loosely pertains to what you're talking about, but I thought I'd throw out there that it's all basically the same. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
@canofpopproductions Catholicism is completely completely different to christianity, especially non denominational christianity. Catholics have a different bible, so do Jehovah witnesses.... I personally dislike the term religion, it has such a negative connotation....designed to segregate people. I would call myself a believer in Jesus Christ rather than a religious title.

many many people claim to believe in God, and Jesus, even Satan knows Jesus is real, what draws the line is fruit. You will know a child of God by their fruits, A tree with no fruit is worthless and should be burned up. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit.. You shall know them by their fruits... Faith is confession unto salvation but if you truly love and serve Jesus, Works/Fruits are a natural byproduct of that Love for my lord..

its no wonder that people don't want to believe in God or have a spiritual relationship with him. We live in a world dominated by entertainment, pleasure, and science that points to everything except an "architect". We want something that will satisfy is now, not over a lifetime. Sometimes we think this "god" of ours doesn't listen or care, so we quit and walk away.......maybe we should ask ourselves what we are doing to listen to him.......

this is my favorite song by disciple. i know the original band personally they went to my church growing up. they're such great guys. Disciple is one of the most lyricly bold Christian bands in the genre. So many these days try so hard to be merely "positive" bands. I appreciate the guys for boldly speaking the "J" word as often as they do.
yeah but then they wouldn't be who they are, which is brave enough to share their beliefs, a reason why so many people love them. They stand up for what they believe, an act we should all do, but some of us are afraid to. They're awesome and it's mostly because they give their music to God.
Just curious but.. when did it take bravery to share their specific beliefs? It seems Christian to me. And it's English.. which is mainly comprised of said religion.
Disciple is a band that just couldn't find their place in the world. They started out as a hard hitting heavy metal band full of energy and fell when they came out with the album "What was I thinking" and have probably covered every genre of music since then. It just stings a little was probably the best album ever.
to clarify some confusion that arose with some recent comments in this video, the judgement of God will happen, either if you want to believe that it wont... for God is righteous above anything else, all things in our physical world are visible to his eyes and you are accountable for them all, every intention of your heart.
Hence we all are under our sinful nature and will be judged accordingly and this is where Christ and his ransom comes in, those without Christ are hopeless in the end. GB.
So does that make you think you are better then people without Christ? I bet you will say that it doesn't, but in your heart you think you are, and if there were a god, he would judge your heart more harshly then someone who didn't believe.
to answer plainly to your statement, first of there is a God, i cant believe that looking at the architecture of our universe, you still deny the architect, either fitting the christian point of view or not, its blatant.
Second, i didnt say any such thing about being better, the words i wrote are not my own, Jesus himself said it... we are all under the toll of sin, and the payment is our physical death, however our future after this depends solely on our relationship with our creator.
Furthermore, people whom the spirit indwells are clearly stated to be set aside as the bride is set aside for the bridegroom in a marriage. Thus Jesus Christ will be at their side when the time comes to pay our dues. Even as i type this i know i fall short of the glory of God and in no way possible i am worthy to be besides him, only by his grace and mercy i have been given such a chance and even though its free, it seems like it has a heavy cost to us, doesnt it? GB.
When I said if there is a god, I meant your christian god in a bible box. I never said anything about there not being a divine architect of this great and wonderful universe. Who i'm sure is a architect and creator of love and peace. What ever it is though, i gotta wonder why it lets people get away with judging people who don't conform to their ways. Just go with the universal flow man. Believe what you want to believe, but personally, I think christianity is just a crutch.
While not refuting that cliché you just used, i have to agree that religion has always been a crutch for many many people, although Christianity has thousands of denominations and religious diferences, it does still define us that believe in Jesus Christ if only for the Christ in it... although i couldnt be further away to be associated with such religious views, you fall short on your assessment there though, because comformity hardly defines christians.
As a matter of fact, if i were to risk a percentage, id say around 85% of our generation refuses to even try to have a spiritual understanding of our reality. So my friend comformity and universal flow is where you stand or close enough to where you stand. Because you believe in a "god of peace and love" and someone who cannot use justice to weigh our hearts, for what good would there be if iniquity would be rewarded the same as those that persevere in righteousness.
relgion is for people who try to do good because they are scared to go to hell, a relationship with Christ is for people like me who has already been to hell

Our life on this earth is a trial run that will lead to your role in eternity. Anyone can say that they are a Christian, but that doesn't mean that they have a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. That's the *whole* point. Someone who calls themselves a Christian may not go to heaven, while someone who calls themselves a Catholic might. Vice versa. It doesn't matter what you call yourself, it matters what's on the inside. Even someone who calls themselves a Jew

@h3artcor3 actually if you want to get techincal the bible says we can be free from sin and be able t get forgiveness and be saved if we rid of our old self. we have to completely rid of our old life and get our hearts fully set on God. Acts 2:38 says to repent and be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. so yes when we get the physical relationship is when were saved, then God will work on the outside. what we wear, say, do, etc.

this is my favorite song by disciple. i know the original band personally they went to my church growing up. they're such great guys. [new guys are great too by the way lol] and i just want to say [in case they happen to see this] they've helped me SO much with their lyrics and their words. thanks so much guys.

Disciple is one of the most lyricly bold Christian bands in the genre. So many these days try so hard to be merely "positive" bands. I appreciate the guys for boldly speaking the "J" word as often as they do.

yeah but then they wouldn't be who they are, which is brave enough to share their beliefs, a reason why so many people love them. They stand up for what they believe, an act we should all do, but some of us are afraid to. They're awesome and it's mostly because they give their music to God.

Disciple is a band that just couldn't find their place in the world. They started out as a hard hitting heavy metal band full of energy and fell when they came out with the album "What was I thinking" and have probably covered every genre of music since then. It just stings a little was probably the best album ever.

to clarify some confusion that arose with some recent comments in this video, the judgement of God will happen, either if you want to believe that it wont... for God is righteous above anything else, all things in our physical world are visible to his eyes and you are accountable for them all, every intention of your heart.
Hence we all are under our sinful nature and will be judged accordingly and this is where Christ and his ransom comes in, those without Christ are hopeless in the end. GB.

So does that make you think you are better then people without Christ? I bet you will say that it doesn't, but in your heart you think you are, and if there were a god, he would judge your heart more harshly then someone who didn't believe.

to answer plainly to your statement, first of there is a God, i cant believe that looking at the architecture of our universe, you still deny the architect, either fitting the christian point of view or not, its blatant.
Second, i didnt say any such thing about being better, the words i wrote are not my own, Jesus himself said it... we are all under the toll of sin, and the payment is our physical death, however our future after this depends solely on our relationship with our creator.

Furthermore, people whom the spirit indwells are clearly stated to be set aside as the bride is set aside for the bridegroom in a marriage. Thus Jesus Christ will be at their side when the time comes to pay our dues. Even as i type this i know i fall short of the glory of God and in no way possible i am worthy to be besides him, only by his grace and mercy i have been given such a chance and even though its free, it seems like it has a heavy cost to us, doesnt it? When I said if there is a god, I meant your christian god in a bible box. I never said anything about there not being a divine architect of this great and wonderful universe. Who i'm sure is a architect and creator of love and peace. What ever it is though, i gotta wonder why it lets people get away with judging people who don't conform to their ways. Just go with the universal flow man. Believe what you want to believe, but personally, I think christianity is just a crutch.

While not refuting that cliché you just used, i have to agree that religion has always been a crutch for many many people, although Christianity has thousands of denominations and religious diferences, it does still define us that believe in Jesus Christ if only for the Christ in it... although i couldnt be further away to be associated with such religious views, you fall short on your assessment there though, because comformity hardly defines christians.

As a matter of fact, if i were to risk a percentage, id say around 85% of our generation refuses to even try to have a spiritual understanding of our reality. So my friend comformity and universal flow is where you stand or close enough to where you stand. Because you believe in a "god of peace and love" and someone who cannot use justice to weigh our hearts, for what good would there be if iniquity would be rewarded the same as those that persevere in righteousness.

Our life on this earth is a trial run that will lead to your role in eternity. Please understand that anything can be a crutch or something people use and abuse religion is one of those things that a lot of people use when it's funeral, weddings, or convenient places. true faith isn't always convenient. Keep up the progression!!!

@nnglfc13 I think it really depends on how you see the two "religions". The whole point is having a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. Anyone can say that they are a Christian, but that doesn't mean that they have a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus. That's the *whole* point. Someone who calls themselves a Christian may not go to heaven, while someone who calls themselves a Catholic might. Vice versa. It doesn't matter what you call yourself, it matters what's on the inside. Even someone who calls themselves a Jew

"Christian" "Catholic" "Muslim" "Jew" "Hindu" "Rastafari" ...they're all names and in other languages they aren't spelled the same or said the same. They aren't definite, the name changes. But a relationship with Jesus should never change, because it should be infinite.

For one, do not forget that we must worship Christ in spirit and in TRUTH! Also don't forget that Christ said to beware of those preaching a different Christ. Muslim, WILL NOT be going to heaven. They do not worship the same God by any means. In order to go to heaven, one must be BORN AGAIN. Anybody can slap on the title "Christian".

In a nutshell, the pope is not the victor of Christ or representative of God, the Bible isn't something only priests can magically understand, Christ was not only a prophet, Christ did die on the cross, He fulfilled the law, and if there were such a thing as reincarnation, then Christ really didn't have to die. But, it is for a man to die ONCE and THEN judgement.

The thing is, a *real* *true* relationship with Jesus means all these things, that you *will* follow His Word, you *will* know what He expects of you. If someone calls themselves a Muslim, it doesn't mean they are, just like someone who's Jewish. When you have a relationship with God, then you will follow Him no matter what you call

Of course, you SHOULD call yourself a follower of Jesus, you shouldn't tell people that you're a followe of anyone but Jesus if you have a true relationship with Him and believe in HIm. I am a follower of Christ, it's that simple. But when people call themselves: Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, etc.. it doesn't exactly show what God would want in His church, which is unity. @nnglfc13 Church, that some of the teachings are not part of the Bible, and for that I would not call myself a Catholic, but I'm also not going to assume that because someone is or calls themselves a Catholic, that they do not have a real relationship with Jesus. Because, really, ANYONE can have a relationship with Jesus and that's the best part, that we can connect with God just by inviting Him into our heart, we don't need to work for it.

@h3artcor3 actually if you want to get techincal the bible says we can be free from sin and be able t get forgiveness and be saved if we rid of our old self. we have to completely rid of our old life and get our hearts fully set on God. Acts 2:38 says to repent and be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. so yes when we get the physical relationship is when were saved, then God will work on the outside. what we wear, say, do, etc.

Pray and Jesus will help you. The Devil tests us in this life, pray to Jesus and He'll help you with your struggle with your sexuality. I'm not judging you - the Bible does say homosexuality is wrong, but so is stealing, lying etc All Christians sin, and that sin takes different forms. All sin is below God's perfection. Perfection we all strive to meet but never can, All we can do is pray and trust in Jesus. =)
