Ya know the whole east coast thing is great, maine to jersey, include vermont, nh, montreal, prep schools, ivy, nyu, east side, west side, john lennon, jon bon jovi, Snooki its all great, Baby we were born to run , even Bruce's cutie at Wellington. Ya
man, this is 2009 and both him and billy are still looking good and their voices are beautiful!!!! Honestly i think Bruce's is better than ever right now.
absolutely love this song! Bruce has such a great powerful voice. And Billy Joel, well, what can I say. I am from New York and I am always in a NY state of mind!

Bristud how could u say that? This I an awesome song and was great with piano wizard Billy Joel. He messed up a little with the lyrics, but all in all, it was truly amazing. I always feel like jumpin up and dancin in that last verse after the instrumental solo.
I like the expression on Bruce and Billy's face, there grooving on how each other is singing one another's tune, totally fantastic! and we get to sit in our homes and watch and hopefully everyone knows the difference between good and Great! like how to appreciate the technology time has brought us, we've come a long way from green hand held transistor radios or bogen speakers with a shure audio mixer that always gave bad feedback. lol. tks for the Great post! CcCclapsss
a little make-up and B. Joel would look just like Snot! how cool, Springsteen and the Goonies-Street-Band! by the way, we all miss Clemmons already...
this was terrible..the is springsteens signature song...billy joel is great but he has no place in this song with bruce and the e street band.. i'm sorry but billy didn't blend in at all
can not believe any one would have a bad comment to make about this video in my Irish word f****** Brilliant Bruce your the men I from Dublin love Bono u 2 pt if you ever need need a work recommendation call me 765-729-0436 your biggest fan
you'd be out of breath too if you played for a minimum of two and a half hours and bounced around the stage...Dude is over 60 years old and still the best performer in rock music !
What an awful crowd they're playing too. How can you stand there calm like that? Its Born to Run for crying out loud! With Bruce and Billy Joel! Its a damned shame
I love how the balance works out perfectly here. You can hear Billy's piano clearly over the rest of the band. It's a shame they didn't do the same great job for "Because the Night", but I guess you can't have everything.
Thanks for posting this great Bruce Springsteen classic. The sheet music for Roy Bittan's wonderful piano part on "Born To Run" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.
@KleWdSide I've seen Bruce live three times and he is always out of breath but the thing about doing these short performances is he stops more often so you seem him taking a break and he's out of breath during the breaks
Just noticed this- listen to Billy sing the final verse- "Some day girl, I dont know when, we're gonna get to that place we really wanna go, AND VIRGINIA, we'll walk in the sun..."
@pgaquigz Aye. I noticed that on alot of the other vids from this concert. Most of the times where Bruce is "playing" he's not touching his strings, or his strumming doesn't correspond with the sound off the tele. Its odd.
@bobbied3 YEA HELL YES EVERTIME WITH THIS PERFORMANCE HES STRUMING AND NOT MOVING HIS HANDS MOST OF THE TIME AND HES PIKING IT PRETTY HARD LOL I THINK HES FAKING IT
@bobbied3 It's not odd at all. Bruce line-up has 3 guitarists: himself, Nils Lofgren and Steven Van Zandt. Bruce is definitely plugged in and is playing rhythm, but he's low in the mix. If the sound doesn't fit what he's doing, than obviously one of the other two players is playing it.
When Bruce has solos (Backstreets, Incident on 57th Street) you can tell it's obviously him playing it. He's no Jimi Hendrix but he's alright.
@Petiber Bruce is the most underrated guitarists going around. I've had the priviledge of hearing his guitar work through the 1970s and take it from me, he's not that far from Jimi. Listen to Prove it all Night or anything from Darkness and when you strip away the orchestra that is the E Street Band, you're left with a sound and feeling that is not unlike Jimi. Bruce is not a soloist, he is the ringmaster of a wonderful circus of sound and music known as the legendary E Street Band.
@ClintEastw0od I'm a huge fan of bruce and the e-street but this is just wrong. Bruce is an okay guitar player at most, his licks are the usual bluesy pentatonic ones, his solos are predictable and his playing are mediocre. Comparing his solos to the sax in Jungleland or the keys in Kitty's Back just shows the difference. His solo in "Incident on 57th Street" is great though, his finest hour as a guitarist I think. Adam Raised a Cain ain't bad either.
@Petiber go back and watch prove it all night from 1978 or thundercrack from 1973, i think with time he's just taken a backseat re his guitar playing. in other words he's grown up and it s more about the music, lyrics and the whole band's' performances live .and that's why he's still at the top of his game
@pgaquigz I don't think Billy knew the words and it looks a bit contrived as if he's trying to read the words off of a monitor and sing as the same time, so gets a little lost until the "Tramps like us.." part where he was more familiar with it and he seemed a bit more natural.
It's weird how he's out of breath with these brief performances (This, Super Bowl etc), yet when he performs 26-30 songs at a "real" concert, he's not at all. I guess his mood is different when he's surrounded by thousands of screaming fans..
Bruce is not out of breath at all, I don't know what your talking about. The guy is an animal, best shape of his life. Still rocking 27+ songs a night no problem! It's just the look on bruce's face when he sings. Still and always will be the best live performer of all time! LONG LIVE THE boss!
Damn...Billy Joel always gives me goose bumps with his voice and talent! Great musician, too bad his music never reached a bigger audience.

really? You think this guy has been solding out shows, playing solos every concert, maybe tousands of them (concerts) in the last 35 years
and nobody noticed he is a faker?
