@floridagremlin42069 ... 31" Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's .... awesome tires in the snow ... but you gotta remember this is an offroad only vehicle, so the rear diff is welded.

The Cherokee line of Jeeps should never have stopped...Now just the Grand Cherokee...The 4.0 is an AMC hold over and Chysler tweeked it...Mine is a 95 Country, first full year they were Chrysler, but I've got 225-75R-15's and it's not raised, stock...Goes where ever I want it to go and no thoughts of selling it, love it too much...

lifting them is a bitch though. its not just adding a leaf spring, and new coils and new shocks and track bar... it takes an act of congress to lift the thing! lol

I grew up in southwest Michigan, so I am familiar with what works in the snow. The XJ being one of the best I have ever seen. Now, I live at 7100' ASL in east central Nevada, which we get even more snow than you guys back east... and you know what? The XJ still rules! Albeit, with a little better tires and some lift, but they still kick ass!

@kc8ntp i can agree to that! except for the all Jeeps thing... not a fan of Libertys, Commanders, cuz to me, theyre not Jeeps. theyre just manufactured by Jeep.

@1998classicXJ ... Just a plain jane 4.0 I-6 with a 5 speed. There is no exhaust on it except for about 4 ft after the manifold. The snow has the sound muffled, its louder than what it seems in the video, but its not too loud where it dont sound good anymore.

@whatchagondo45 ... YEP!! there all the time .. i usually try to get there at least twice a month ... my jeeps been there everytime ... I live about an hour away from there ... i actually used to drive tractor trailer OTR for Strimbu's right there at the main intersection, which was really nice cause i used to just leave from work on fridays and go there before i went home.

I been doing stuff like this my whole life. Keep an eye out for me out there this year, my cherokee is rattle canned flat black and it has my name ( mike ) on the drivers side front fender and my wifes name ( steph ) on the passenger side front fender. Keep an eye out for my truck in the tug o war, its a dark blue F-250 crew cab .. it has " V-10 Inside " decals on rear side windows. I pull it in the road legal truck pulls there also. Maybe we can hang out a little .. lol.
