Ya. I like the old Vegas. These motors are very torquey for their size. I would get a 2000+ engine for their better heads and the capibility to write the PCM.
Is that the best you can do? Why don't you reread the description you wrote for yourself in your channel."I do have a strong opinion but i will not use use it to ofend anyone, i believe conversation is key to comunication.", "Dont disrespect me and i wont have to direspect you." "My interest is to help as many people be aware of the quality of the ... the air we breath ," then you should love this, since this engine is far more efficent than the rotary that was removed.
V6 maybe easier to work but not more efficient than a rotary ,just because you dont know how to work on rotaries . i could have understand if you would have swaped for a V8 but swap fora V6 thats lame. i have worked on rotaries they are not your typical piston engine ,but they are far superior than a v6 could ever be. besides a recently bought a chevy s10 with a V6 and it will be swapped for either a Rotary or a V8 . Nice V6 work anyway.
Yes, it's more efficient. I average 28mpgs in my LS1 FD and expect over 30 with this car. This car is being built for one of my neighbor's kids who has helped me wrench on 7 other RX7 swaps as well as other swaps. This will be his first car and a V8 7 is way too dangerous for a 16yo.
Good luck with making REPU. Mazda tried that 30 years ago and found out it wasn't the best combo, the hard way.
i just saw your other videos with the v6 rx7 and i must say it sounds very nice , and i didnt knew that car was for a teenager , my bad. anyone who can teach a teen how to built a car its okay with me . on the REPU issue , if i swap for a rotary engine the truck might be for drag or show only , but if i decide to built the v6, i just my ask for a good v6 combination (pistons, cams , heads ,intake manifold, ect) that you might recommend. later.
@the13joker the rotary is not a piston engine's at all no pistons, but a rotary is not superior in no way shape or form, mazdas the only people who make that turd for a reason no one else wants them, they arn't durable very expensive to get parts for and harder to work on and make far less power look over n the related vids nre made a 1000+ 4.3 v6 rotarys are poo end of story
@imadethistowatchvide , Mazda Rotary engine is reliable, and can make 800hp out of a 1.3 turbo engine. Less weight , more power . And besides Mazda was not the only one building rotary engines . Norton Motorcycles "Comander" uses a rotary wankel engine on its Police motorcycles in Europe. There was also Citroen cars and there was also NSU Cars and motorcycles with its "Spider" and "Prins" models in the 60's ,and also Rolls Royce built a diesel version of the wankel rotary engine. Go learn.
@the13joker lulz a rotary engine isnt light, it may be compact but its isnt lighter, and if it is not by much, you said more power, i think 1000 is more than 800, can you count? and you mentioned rolls and critoen makeing wankles, they dont any more for reason thanks for proving my point they droped them because it was lame oh same with the norton, there is a reson the piston engine is used more, its better
@imadethistowatchvide My friend Norton still makes the rotary bike , go check out Norton NVR588 ,its new for 2009. And the rotary making 800hp its more lighter than any other engine. Let me explain it , the LS1 V8 aluminum block and heads its only good for 700hp , to make 1000hp you have to use the iron block. thats a 750 pounds engine. a 4.3 V6 weights 425pounds and a rotary 13B fully assembled weights only 247 pounds. Get you facts straight.
@the13joker the best bikes and the fastest bikes use inline 4s look up the 2011 ninja zx 10 makes 207 horses on a liter n/a win for the piston engine a wankel rotor has never won the superbike of the year award
@imadethistowatchvide ,the Rotary is lighter than a V6 4.3 . The Mazda Rotary engine fully asembled weights only 247 pounds, add a turbo, wastegate, intercooler and still weights around 300 to 325 pounds and can make up to 800hp all the way to 11,000rpm . But the 4.3 V6 comes with a iron block and iron heads, thats a 425 pounds engine and its only good for 350hp N/A. Add a turbo and the weight goes up more and can only make up to 500hp. Want more HP you gotta break the bank!!! Rotary still King.
@the13joker you cant make 800 horses on a stock rotary engine you have to break the bank to replace all the parts so it can make 800 your doing a lot of typing but not saying anything, piston is still the king for a reson, by the way, im not going to mention your poor grammer
@imadethistowatchvide its okay im not going to mention your poor knowledge on rotary engines. You dont have to replace all the parts like a piston engine. A rotary engine only has 3 moving parts,(2 rotors and eccentric shaft) unlike the many parts that you have to replace on a piston engine. The Rotary engine has some parts that are vital to it like the apex seals,(equivalent to piston rings) these have to be made out of carbon ,if you buy these cheap ,the engine will not survive abuse. Learn
@the13joker there you go again with "learn" your not some internet mystic dont end everything with a single word, or line. are you saying that turbos, for a rotory engine, are cheaper because they arnt, that crappy little turbo system they put on the rotorys from the factory were terrible
@imadethistowatchvide My friend you dont have to replace many parts, where did you get that idea. On a Rotary all you need its to really know what you are doing and dont mess it up. the apex seals need to be of a good quality like carbon (not cheap) you need to go half-bridge or full bridge , you need a template for that. Rotary engine builders dont share this secret with others. Thats why many do-it-yourself guys fail, You need to know where to open a port and what size works best. Get it !
@the13joker what is "get it !" are you a anchor man or something? you have your own lines? any ways back to the subject umm yeah its called the internet, you can find anything you need to know on how to do anything on it why do-it your selfers fail is that they lacked the luck with wankles so they will drop a piston engine in a rx7
@imadethistowatchvide My friend have been around rotaries for over 20 years and i learn something new every day. My brother in law and i buil over 7 rotary engines and where able to make 400hp but they would fail after 15 passes at the track. Then decided to take it to our neighbour Jesus Padilla aka KILO RACING , he shared some knowledge and build us an engine that made 400hp but never failed ever again , that engine did over 100 passes before we got an offer on the car , the car still racing.
@the13joker look up a 4g63t buddy makes well over 600 hp cheap displaces 2.0 L and weighs very little, its also reliable and get daily driven it has also made well over 1000 hp and weighs in the neighbor hood of 300 pounds and can make 100 plus passes
@imadethistowatchvide ,Im not here to argue wich engine you should like ,im just defending the Rotary reputation from those that dont undertand it and think its crap. That would be like saying that beer its bad cause it makes you drunk. So relax and open your mind ,i used to hate honda engines, but my nephew knows how to make 400hp out of a 1.8 vtec. So i decided to learn about it. Currently i made a friend whose car makes over 800HP@wheels from a turbo alcohol 13B rotary. Im gonna learn more.
@the13joker look i appreciate your point of view, but no one attacked the rotary, he just swapped it out, and appreciate you know something on the subject that you argue, i was just defending the piston engine, i understand you think your favorite is better
@imadethistowatchvide i agree with you that some guys dont have luck with rotaries and end up swapping for a piston engine. I dont blame them ,its difficult to work out of your confort zone, i guess i was lucky to live in the birthplace of import drag racing. here it started in the early 70's. These old school V8 racers from the 60's embraced 4 cyl engines and rotaries in the early 70's and that knowledge gets passed to the younger generations of mechanics. Thats why we know so much of that
@the13joker and with that comment we can agree that everyone disagrees but thats what makes cars awesome because i am not a fan of rotarys, i drove my friends 87 rx7 for a couple of months and wasnt pleased with it, i can vouch for the sound of a rotory, its a great sounding engine, just wouldnt own one, where as you like rotorys, you drive one, i assume, and enjoy it. to each his own, some people like fords and some like chevys but if we didnt have rivalrys we wouldnt have every thing we have
@imadethistowatchvide My friend A rotary engine is lighter than a V6 , its more balanced and can make more HP. The Rotary its 1.3 and can make 800hp . The V6 its a 4.3 Iron block and heads and its only a OVH engine that revs to 6000rpm. If you want to make serious HP witha 4.3 v6 you have to break the bank cause those parts are no cheap. Aluminum heads, balanced driveshafts, race pistons, race camshaft, valves,a better oil system, aluminum intake manifold, ect, ect. Its too much money for a V6
@the13joker the rotary is 178 pounds lighter, depending on the cam you can make it rev to well over 10k, you will have to do some work with the internals, but it will last so much longer than a wankle, and so much more torque, and like i said, the 4.3 can make well over a thousand, so... yeah
@imadethistowatchvide ,my friend unless you buy the twin turbo 4.3 V6 from Nelson Racing engines or Duttweiler Performance ,theres no way you can get that kind of performance and reliability ,and did i mention those are race engines , cause of course you know race engines are not cheap at all.
@imadethistowatchvide my friend 800hp would be consiered race in any engine. Rotary builders usually have a template on how to make intake and exhaust ports big enough to make max flow. There are many ways to make hp from a rotary (simple, mild, race) better know as "overlap","half-bridge", "full bridge", or "Pheriperal" this last one would be considered a race engine and its expensive. The other ones could be considered mild and are good for 600hp. The expensive its the labor ,not the parts.
@imadethistowatchvide my friend a 800hp from a 1.3 engine that only weights around 300 pounds its a remarkable achievement. If a piston engine its so good why has never been a 1.3 piston engine capable of making 800hp. Rotary always has to compete with bigger piston engines like inline 6,or V6 or V8 engines. but if you want to compete size by size the how a bout a 2.0L, 20B , a 3 rotor wankle engine, this one makes 300hp from factory. and can achieve over 1000hp with a few tricks .

Ooh, hell yeah I like rotas but 4.3's are sick as fuck too. Had an '87 S10 4X4 with a Vortec sc'd 4.3. It was balls.
