I really like Michael, but he misses it this time. Most people look at the word MONEY as the key part of this verse, but the 'LOVE OF' is the actually key point. The LOVE OF MONEY refers to GREED and SELFISHNESS. The first sin was NOT disobedience, rather was UNBELIEF. God said if Adam ate from the tree he would die. Adam didn't believe that would happen. Satan said they would become LIKE GOD, and Adam and Eve believe that instead! The sin was driven by their own selfishness and GREED!

Many things he says are not scriptural at all. Be careful who you listen to people. That verse was mistranslated in the KJV. Almost every other translation today rightly translates it as the NKJV does:

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil,

There was no other planet for Lucifer.

There was never a race of angels on the earth, they were always in heaven.

All this means nothing if you are still sinning. Jesus died to set you free. Stop sinning, follow Jesus!

Yeah... I don't know where the 'other planet' comes from. If Ezekiel says Lucifer was in Eden, why would you assume it was anything other than the garden that God placed Adam and Eve in?

Wow! Contrived is too mild a word for this mess... Please people, be like the Bereans and test the Scriptures to see if what Mr. Pearl is saying is true. Ez. 28 is a prophecy against the King of Tyre who has the heart of Satan. The love of money is the root of all KINDS of evil not... in the beginning the first sin of Satan was the love of money and that is where sin originated!!! Test, test, test!

@frmdeath2life Sin originated from Lucifer and Man brought the nature of Lucifer or Satan into man. the love of money is the root of all Evil but didn't say it was the first sin. Lucifer's Sin was pride which quite possibly stemmed from the love of trafficking. trafficking means he was engaging in of selling of goods or services of some sort for personal gain. Which could mean that since his temples were corrupted it could possibly be he was directing worship to himself instead of God.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to say it's a figure of speech? I've never thought of the phrase as meaning "ALL sin is ultimately derived from a love of money", that's a patent nonsense. It's simply a way of saying that love of money over other things is always sinful.

The bible is full of figures of speech. It has to be - it's written in languages invented by humans with all the limitations that entails.

Please be sensible.

@EASYTIGER10 languages were invented by humans? Don't think so... the Bible is quite clear on this. In the beginning was the Word...try not to rely upon your own thoughts...but rather, search the scriptures. :)

The other planet refferred was the Pre-Adamaic kingdom before mankind. its basically earth, just before man was created on it. When satan fell and led the rebellion against God, God destroyed the earth after his defeat and remodeled it for man. we have proof that the world was destroyed with an ice age. possible that other planets were inhabited as well. mars has noticeable lakes and rivers that once ran on the planet. possible the universe and solar system was inhabited by angels.

@SabreTalon1 Can you tell me where any of this is found in Scripture? I have no problem with an ice age, but the rest of it is not found anywhere in the Bible that I am aware of...
