Actually I loved this movie but I don't think Martha Stewart was that bitchy. Americans like to exaggerate real facts. Anyway Cybill Shepherd and Tim Matheson showed great acting. Cybill's look in this film reminds me Kathleen Turner in "Serial Mom" (1994). Simple observation
You'de think Stewart would know the difference in a paid actress and a role she's playing; even if it is her. BTW, if she'd risk her career (and a potential prison sentence) by lieing about a lousy $37,000 stock, I can so see her pouring expensive wine back into a bottle.

I used to like Martha, well I still kinda do, but I think someone is jealous for having a more successful modeling career and for not having a felony on her record.
There's no way you can deny that Martha's talented, nor does she seem to lack selfesteem. As for youth, isn't Cybil about the same age? Youth is very over rated anyway, the only thing young people have are greasy skin and lack of personality.

It's called Hollywood, show business. Believe me, if you were hired to play Cybill Shepard in a movie, you'd take the part and the paycheck, just like she did. What a whiny bitch.
@reymatt76 You see, Cybill did some interviews during the time they were promoting this movie and she basically implied in many of these interviews that she believed Martha truly is the way she is being portrayed in that movie, which is basically a bitch. I remember one interview where Cybill even said she would never eat a cake that Martha would send her. So, understandably, Martha is upset by this. You may agree with Cybill and what's said about Martha but Martha has the right to be upset.
@neongenesi So you're an actress. Maybe you haven't had too many roles in a while. You kinda need to work. Someone approaches you to do a job playing someone. Maybe do a few interviews, say a few things to hype up the lousy TV movie that you're starring in. You wouldn't do that? You'd rather stay unemployed? I don't really think Cybill gave 2 shits about Martha Stewart until she was paid to. And just like a good mercenary Hollywood actress she did what she was told and did it good. Kudos.
