  • Flhkfd shad half nz xmas uphill

  • This soon will be very OLD...........

  • This thing obviously doesn't predict very well. *cough*

  • I would love to have a super computer.

All the everything in my basement just going up through the floor to a tinny computer.

I would be like "SUCK IT neighbors"

  • when will the gpu be able to run an OS like they do with a game?

  • @j7x54 They do Already... All the UI tricks are done on it (At least on Mac OS, Linux and Windows 7).

  • we can't use more power because our gov. wont let us because our gov. runs the school and won't let us advance past any other country because then other governments will fear us and it would just make the world a better place when there is nobody better than anyone els and were all socialists and its perfect when you don't have to worry that someone wants to kill you and take over your country so you don't protect yourself!

and i'm out of breath..but does that make any sense? really!

  • New tesla supercomputers can reach up to a pedoflop if operated by pedobear.

  • but will it blend?

  • i would find a way to fuck it.

  • Did he say Pedofop? lol *googles*

  • 0:17 The guy uses emacs, ruined the video; the supercomputer is awesome though

  • yes it's made by the TIT

  • But can it PLAY TETRIS????!!??!?!

  • A Tesla Card is a Quadro without heads, Tesla C1060 -> Quadro FX 5800. It isn't meant for Display or gaming acceleration but to run complex simulations, using his hundreds of cores (240 core for a single C1060) to do simple integer and floating point operations acelerating functions like FFT. In some cases (genetical sequencing for example) you can achieve 100x (yes 100x) performance increase comparing to xeon processors. Of course, the application must be prepared to run over the CUDA Api.

  • The Tesla series is awesome news for computing.

  • @vapourmile gpgpu is good for computing

  • BUT CAN IT PLAY CRYSIS?

  • he is trying to remember the text he learned by heart :p

  • how many gpgpu has a tesla server

  • more then you can buy alone XD

  • What camera was used for creating this video? :)

  • it's rendered on a gpu : )

  • Now that's what I'd play crysis on

  • And you'd be disapointed big time, although it premium cost, these Graphics cards are not designed to play games, so it wouldn't play it any better than you current Graphics card, in fact it might even play it worse.

  • So how is something like a typhoon simulation different from a high end video game? (in terms of the how it utilises the GPU)

  • well they used one of these and got like 1000 fps on Crysis, so I would say it would help gameplay ALOT, but you couldn't like use this in place of a GPU, you would ALSO need to get a GPU, so like a 5870 and a Tesla card you should get like 800 - 1000 fps on GTA IV lol

(personally I would get an Nvidia card myself for the "3D Vision") :-)

  • @ 1981z28camaro

    ignorant much ?

tesla cards dont have display ports. they can play games even if you tried.

buying one of those in hopes to play a game is a crime.

  • well I found out that the 1000 fps was with the Crysis Map Editor, and I know the Tesla card has no display port, I mentioned that in the comment, if you read it completely you would know.

I'm just saying it would help to increase the frame rate, because it would take the workload off of the CPU.

  • it would only take the workload off the CPU not the GPU. this doesnt support Graphics.

and if what you said about the whole comment i apologize. but i cant find your comment on this video any more.

  • it's all good :-)

yeah in real world situations, it wouldn't be a huge increase, but I would say it would help to a degree, maybe a 15 - 20% increase.

  • Gaming graphics cards primarily just try to render as many FPS as possible, at the best resolution it can handle, where as these cards rely on accuracy over speed, because for the tasks they are meant for, accuracy is of utmost importance and they can handle a lot more information that's why they are used for simulations.

  • What you ayw orks for quadro cards but I think these ones may be different... maybe!

  • @goddamit22 with that kind of power, you would be playing every new game AT THE SAME TIME.

  • @goddamit22 n00b! they use these to design the nanosuits. lol!

  • that will be one badass supercomputer cluster!!!
