Why? THey built it that why because they wanted to show the world that they can make a quality car. Something they couldnt do under the control of Chrylser because of Chrysler Cutting corners

At least you can choose from any model in the Mercedes line-up... Less then half of the vehicles Mercedes makes even make it to the states. When I tried to purchase the MB I wanted (C300 CDI) from a dealer here there were no options of any kind to get one into the states.

America says it has an energy crisis, so why don't we have diesels like other countries do? Also, in Mexico I saw Fords that aren't availible in the USA. THAT IS INSANE!!! If The government wants to help us, they should allow more economical cars to come in.

thats about USD 100,000, where as a c63 amg in the states going for USD 70,000 to 80,000

Euro cars are so cheap in the US!!

In Australiathe C starts at $60,000 and our dollar is just about on par with the US.

And now with a labor government these cars are going to be taxed even further! Australia is obsessed with taking from the rich(hard working) and giving to the poor (bludgers).

We get better quality than the US, in some cases it may be same factory, but not same grade. Whether it's m-tex in the seat or extra sound proofing, cars that come to Germany, Scandinavia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are built better than most of the cars sent to other countries despite coming out of the same factory.

The problem with American cars is that they come up with a new car every 1 to 2 years. The car isn't designed to be good as it can really can. Mercedes spent 7Years in the C-Class. I never rode in the 08' model yet!

I agree with what PMB600 said in the fisrt post,yea Americans are so quick to complain about the reliability and quality of Audi,Mercedes Benz and BMW,but their quality and reliability is much much better compared to the American pieces of shit on our roads produced by Ford Motor Co. GM and Chrysler.I have had 3 German Cars and NEVER had any Major problems with them,just the the normal issues.

I had an 88' Mercedes SEL500 which I inherited from my grandfather,then decided to get a newer model 98' E430,then bought my first brand new Car 2008 Audi A4,NEVER had a problem with any of them.Just over time I was slowly upgrading to a new car.Trust me American cars are much worse,argue it if u'd like,but the sales figures say different. I am sticking with German cars and that is IT.I just wish naive ignorant americans would do the research and stop being amateurs.

zahed. i am in australia.. mine was built in germany.. not a week has gone past where something hasnt gone wrong. bottom line is that its a heap of shit... mercedes should stop bringing out all these different classes eg. A-class, B-class etc and concentrate on the models that mad them huge..so i have a cheap mercedes for sale with all its faults... this model is cheaper than the last and i can understand why.

My 2008 C350 is made in Germany. MB went downhill a number of years ago. But a couple of years ago they were up to #17 and this year they are up to #3 surpassing all years.

Great commercial, but lately 'Mercedes-Benz' means very poor repair record. I'd rather a car that runs & runs well, than a car w/door that hold men. All the fireworks and safety in the world don't mean much if the car is in the shop much of the time.

Actually Mercedes has restored their quality. They went down in the JD Power IQS Study for a few years and last year returned to the top. I think they were number 4 overall? They realize they messed up and they are trying hard to fix the reliability issues because it is imperative to their reputation.
