  • I"m thankfull that i have stumbed on this video i have been locking for over 20 years and still do evern at 46 and like to show give people ideas about locking but what i can't teach them is to be like me, like Don says you have to be your self.

  • I know what he's saying, Iv'e been locking 20+ years. I owe my Dance shoes to this man. I'm glad i found this video interview

  • I'M SOOOO GRATEFUL THAT I KNOW....THANK YOU OG SKEETER RABBIT.

  • GREAT INTERVIEW!!!!

  • @TRUEFUNKSOULDIER

    thanks!

  • He speaking on it!

  • I can see a lot into what he's saying.Scoobots, skeeterabbits, splits etc. are moves added to locking and the "Lock" is the base or root of dance.

  • How can I get in touch with Don Campbell. I met him on Soul Train and dated him for awhile. I would like to get incontact. Thanks

  • I know this is totally off subject but.....what a beautiful Black Man :-) skin looks like silk. love it. Thanks for the info Don

  • i love to listen to this og's they arent just talking about how you have to do this or that move instead they just sharing us some real knowlege what this dance is all about, it sounds simple but its a great advice, from a great man.

    Belive in yourself!

  • they doin the Funky Chicken !!!!!

  • Damn good interview! Don Campbell is the Godfather of Locking. The origin of the funky streetdance: Popp'locking. The style Micheal Jackson brought to the worldwide scene and what is nowadays seen all over MTV.

    The Netherlands

  • DId he say Fire? As in FireLock nyc?

  • yup

  • Nice... is there more to the interview?

  • nah, thats all

  • I LOVE the whole ANTI-"Doing it wrong" message!! Thanks DON for continuing to ENCOURAGE people to love this dance.

It survived over 30 years because of this kind of POSITIVITY!!

  • @DocLock DC has a great way of explaining "doing it wrong" in the right way..thats whats so good about him. He doesnt beat somebody down for "doing it wrong" per se...and hes right, as long as youre doing yourself in the structure of the dance...you cant be doing it wrong

  • @nonskiwun So true!! Don is one awesome human being. Never understood why some folks need to resort to any kind of 'violence' or putting down of others because of 'dance,' but I do know what you mean. Thanks much!

  • SUCH TRUTH!! Thank you DON for this beautiful creation that is LOCKING. For the FREEDOM it brings.

Thanks MikeyP for helping spread the word.

  • dope interview!!!!!!!!!!! can't believe you got to meet him!

  • Mikey P, you are the shit

I want to meet you Don Campbell. From Morimoto in San Francisco!!!
