These ads just go to show how fucking horrible and tasteless graphic design was in advertising back in the early 90's. People were really abusing the new graphical capabilities of PC's and nobody had any fucking taste in color, it was all sickly splodges of pink, blue and yellow and cheesy "plasma" effects that had been going since the Amiga demo scene of the 90's. Designers thought they were being "bold" and "adventurous" but quite frankly they were just being twats.

i remember all these, especially that horrid Friends one.... did anyone actually call those things?! considering they were about 40p per min at cheap times (expensive back then) these adverts would be enough to put anyone off using the phone ever again let alone ring the chat lines....
