This is good, had it over hot rice for dinner tonight. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I added heavy cream to it which made it very rich and delicious. :D
Do you bring the water to a boil before covering it? I'm wondering what temperature to cook the chicken curry when covered. (BTW, it looks delicious!)
@A4k2i0 I covered it and brought the water to a boil. Glad you liked it :) Not sure about the temp but as long as its not pink inside and curry has reached boiling point, it should be good. Cooking it beyond that for too long will dry out the chicken, leaving it overcooked!
Thank you! This recipe was good! As another commenter mentioned it was a little hard to figure out the amounts of spices by looking at them; I'd suggest with going less if you are unfamiliar with the flavors. I added some coconut milk at the very last mixed with a little corn stach, this thickened it up wonderfuly. Served with rice and greenbeans. The only thing I would do different is to go with standard "Curry" powder instead of the Turmeric... I think curry is less earthy.. TY! :)
i prepared it last night and it tasted awesome..i did add half a spoon of sugar too..so tat it gives a nice taste to it ..i am thinking of adding some cream next time round..'
thank you so much..your taste buds are same as many of us unllike the so called posh chefs who end up cooking stuff which looks nice doesnt taste thgh..lol'

Okay, I finally made this recipe for dinner tonight and I think I need a little help. I had to guess what amount you were using for the spices since I wasn't sure if it was teaspoons or tablespoons and the chicken came out really spicy, but the other flavors were too mild. I think the potatoes soaked up too much of the seasoning and the sauce wound up being just spicy and bland on the other flavors. Can you tell me how much of each spice I should put?? Thanks. :)
@Ibbygirl19 Oh no :( I did mention the amt of spices i was using but i guess if u eliminate green chillies and red chilli pwd, it should turn out well. I have complete recipe details on my blog- eateastindian blog
Oh my goodness. Chicken curry is my favorite. Well, chicken mushroom curry is actually my favorite, but this looks soooooo goooood. I think I have to make this for dinner tonight. :) Thank you for the recipe. :)
@aditnarayan Saunf (Fennel seeds) impart really nice flavor to the dish but yes ofcourse, you can omit it..That's the beauty of indian cuisine and you can mold the dish as per your own taste :) Hope you enjoy your curry!
@decemberchicken :) This is a very simple and basic chicken curry so we dont really need coconut milk..Yes, ofcourse theire are lot of recipes requiring coconut milk as an ingredient. If you like chicken, please check out my other curry chicken videos..and Do subscribe for more tasty recipes
@manicottimama Glad that you chose to try this chicken curry. Let me know how it turns out. Did you try my sweet and sour chicken curry/ chicken rezala (it's much simpler with very few ingredients) and has a very unique flavour.
