All the historians, both Tamil, Sinhalese and foreign from the late 1800 onwards have written that there are no written Tamil records to trace Tamil history in Sri Lanka and that they have to rely on the Sinhalese writings. This is a known fact.

If SL government didnt rebuild those same people would have complained that government doesnt care about the Tamils.
