  • Sounds great! Nice work.

  • Cool, what you call "trumpeting" is "Ring Modulation" I think. I remember some kind of synth's having that function.

  • @Hereistone

    @Hereistone

Thanks, but what I understand as Ring Modulation is modulating an audio signal with another audio signal, generating side band frequencies bellow and above the modulated audio signal, this normally adds a metalic harsh effect that I like a lot. I use an EHX Ring Thing to achieve this nowadays, but used to have a Craig Anderton handmade RM for years. You can get similar effect playing two notes at the same time using an analog octaver like Octavia.

  • @mbartolomei Yeah, two tones. It seems that the original signal is being fed back into itself producing a "ringing" overtone. When they are "superimposed" electrically, you get a reed like sound. I'll have to do a search for the "ring thing".

  • hi man, i just made a trumpety fuzz on breadboard...check it out..not as real trumpet as yours though..thats amazing..real close....i did mine by accident. messing around with trannies n stuff...cool.

  • @100roberthenry

I really liked very much your project, even if you found the effect accidentaly. Very synthetic nasty fuzz. Not a conventional distoion or fuzz sound. Well... that's my cup of tea!

  • @mbartolomei

cheers man...your boss t bone seems very versatile..many sounds...well cool..

  • @100roberthenry

It really worthes a try. It's always in my big pedalboard, You could do one for yourself!

  • @mbartolomei

    yeah , i got ya schem from link..will have a look at that...cheers .

i was using 109's...might try some others in there.....

  • @100roberthenry

Ok, good luck. Could you send me more detaisl about your experiment with the weird fuzz/

  • Interesting that the first fuzzbox ever created (by Maestro) was supposedly done to approximate the sound of a horn. They never got THIS close though! Really.

  • @vampyros1 Thanx for the comment

I think they referred to a richer and more coninuous sound... But who knows... more than forty years ago.

I was inspired by hearing the excelent pedal by Paul Trombetta - Minibone. He is a very creative pedal maker.

  • nice demo!

check out my DIY pedal demos on my youtube page!!!

  • @PlumfulPixie

Thanks! Where is it? Your channel has nothing about pedals...

  • Sorry, my husband's page....search for "goodfreshie"

  • perfect demo!

  • Thanks for the kind words, Pal!

  • that diy sounds great, do you have the chorus before or after the fuzz

  • Thanx, the chorus goes after the BossT-bone.

  • Your trumpeting is awesome brother.

  • Coming from you, it's a very special compliment, thanks for the kindness!

  • nice ! Is this a stock circuit ? Pretty versatile !

  • No, it has some simple mods. The transistors hfe also took an important part in the process to get fine results.
