It really is similar to Fate/Stay Night in many regards. Rather than it being between 7 Masters and Servants in the Holy Grail War, this one is about 13 people capable of magic involved in a crude battle royale, called Ragnarok. Yes, it takes it's name from the Norse legend, and many of the weapons and abilities that are used are from it as well.

No ecchi as far as I know, since I'm not through with it, but the soundtrack and CG visuals are astoundingly awesome. Definitely worth it.
